- demo Windows metamorf by Satori [web]
- Many people don't like Metamorf as they lost their ability to look at things 'for the first time'. We're just SO biased expecting another 3D junk. That is actually the best way to lose experience ;]
My thumbs up, this is great work.

- Well... I don't think it's a good idea to flood by SUCH tiny executables ;] First of all it must look good and only then you appreciate it's tiny.

- crs: 2400 bytes for triangle scanner-filler?! Wuff... my Z80 version had about 200 :) Of course I don't count unrolled bresenhams... your routine must be special ;]
shr: I apologise, two years ago I run out of ideas and used almost the same design for 1k intro Mathricks for ZX Spectrum :) It does exactly the same with regular polygon filler, dithering etc. Sorry, I give at least thumb up ;] - rulezadded on the 2001-12-28 11:08:09

- Wade, I see your point. This is an old problem - form vs. content. Like... is perfectly pixelled picture showing naked lady fighting against alien better than stylish digital photo? No.. :) Please, take 256b's as fun and challenge. I wouldn't dare to say it's an artform. If I was about to code a demo, I would probably find better ways to express my ideas than coding exhibitionism, you know :)

- You have minus points for "no single line of asm-code". Suma summarum, it's very pleasing to look at ;)

- Yes it's slow, sawwy ;] I couldn't use tables or advanced iterative technique cuz all that just takes up space. Also, implicit surface that I used is a complete pig ;] It requires many iterations to be hit by a ray (not mentioning hidden relation between depth of field and 'speed' of the ray which needs to be properly balanced). Don't take it too seriously, I just wanted to try something new. Thanks for the feedback people, though! I'm glad you liked it :)
