  square also represents the height of "classic" demo design in the way it blends very different effects, graphics and music as discrete elements (unlike many new demos which rely on more narrow design principles)

• "96" and the typical replay demo both feature great music and ugly aliased lines, but thankfully that's where the similarities end. the essential difference is that "96" is subtle, smooth flowing - even beautiful - whereas replay demos too often feel just hammering and repetitive.

• hey, Evolver! a partyhack demo by jmagic with mostly prerendered 3d anims and a couple of recycled effects, but the deetsay tune made it something to remember.
  
  jeskola made a very funny (and mean :)) party report intro about the party this demo was released on.. anyone still remember that?

• copper! the official pc scene vga card torture test - I had a tseng card which skimped on at least 2 parts :)
  The graphics by JOE were nice too (fortunately, because most of the demo consists of bending bitmaps one way or the other)

• quirky, darker, shortish - not a crowdpleaser like x14 (released a month before), but a demo with a definite personality and one of my orange favorites.

• the name should be "nation zero part 2", and it's maybe the best intro ever imo. very atmospheric and combination of top-notch visuals and music.

• a very good intro at the time, but it got outdated quickly, as the intro genre made huge leaps in 94-95 (airframe, cyboman 2, etc...)
