- @fizzer: yes same pass as the blur, in the first(main) pass I'm writing an additional "heat" value(based on the distance to the lava) to the alpha channel which is then used to modulate the strength of the lookup-displacement in the second(post/present) pass.
@noby: while some of your assumptions do not apply for this intro I do appreciate this honest opinion piece of yours.
