- demo Windows relais by kolor [web]
- Oh good w23 left a comment on this one, only minutes ago.
I remember having seen this demo with friends back in 2005, but never managed to remember it's name nor who made it - only to have it called the "Winker" demo, for the characters waving at the boarding ships.
Not only for it's time a very beautiful demo, but having this schematics as overlays , this lovely robots with their own attitude each, the setting, and somehow even a bit of story - make this one a remarkable demo. Feeling quite lucky to finally have it on my HDD again :) - rulezadded on the 2012-09-02 18:12:11

- Quite demos always sucks me right in - where Satori needs one to make the first step towards getting an angle at the prod. This might sound rather odd to compare these two, but both induce the feeling of being at an museum for me. Being shown art, without having the attitude of being artsy at all - it's not telling me I have to see it this way or a another, it let's me decide what it is - and what it isn't.
The previous might sound very meta, however both manage to somehow transport a feeling - which I have yet to sense somewhere else.
The coldness of these absolute glossy surfaces, being destroyed by the most awesome convergence filter since Media Error, and not even to mention the scene with metabals delving into the railing - which really made my mind explode a little.
In the end all that remained was BGR, instead of RGB - intended or not, it made me think a little, then I fetched another coffee and q'd the next Quite demo. - rulezadded on the 2012-09-02 17:58:24
- demo Windows B10 by Satori [web]
- I have to admit that I usually don't like watching Satori prods on the big screen, as they usually make you think, and really need a certain mood to be enjoyed in. Something that a shitfaced scener might not be able to do on a Saturday night with belgian beer - or well, at least I can't.
Somehow, with a nice cup of coffee and the day being Sunday - these demos fit my mood and mindset. Really enjoyed this one,- by only knowing a handful of Satori demos so far, this one felt very clean compared to others, and I still found little details I didn't noticed on watching it the first time.
Really love how very minimalistic, clean pixel graphics,- along with this intense palette, go together with a grimey tune. Nicely done, and timelessly elegant - even after eleven years - this is very enjoyable. - rulezadded on the 2012-09-02 17:03:08

- Not a fan of "one effect" demos either, but this one somehow pushes my buttons. Really love the last scene, and how it has a style that doesn't go out of date - I mean it's seven years "old" now.
Also like the fact one can fool around with it by pressing [1] to [5] - making it even more abstract. - rulezadded on the 2012-09-02 16:43:36

- Only thing that bugs me a bit in this are the, almost not visible, shingles of the houses left and right - the sides that face towards the camera.
Apart from that, love the composition, depth of field and that sky color. Also melting cubes <3 - rulezadded on the 2012-09-01 20:32:30
