- Awesome water effect! Looking at the code it seems a bit like an oldschool voxel. The "heightmap" is made from combining 16 sinewaves or so. It looks very realistic.

- Quite proud of the color cycling effects in this demo!
The color cycling makes use of per-line copper changes so that some of the LUTs have a few thousand color indices to cycle through as opposed to just 256 which would be standard color cycling. All the LUTs except the face are implemented using this technique.
To create the LUTs a vector-quantizer was made. It reduces a full quality LUT to a reduced number of entries LUT much in the same fashion as when reducing an image from 24-bit to 256 colors. A lot of code tuning done to eliminate pesky horizontal discontinuity artefacts from the reduction.
This was a complicated effect (for me) that in the end doesn't look that good compared to just using a standard chunky 256-color lut effect, however it allows true color hires LUTs as can be seen in some of the scenes.
