Vulkan wins over DX12 in RDR2 for PC... - In bugs? =)
- did mister Vulkan get a gold medal for this amazing achievement? or at least a lollipop?
- According to Gamers Nexus Vulkan owns. (Maybe mister Vulkan got plastic surgery on his ears? ;))
- Gamers Nexus are an authority indeed. if they say it 'owns', it surely must own! i think we can safely say the owning days of DX12 are over!
- GN didn't exactly say 'owns', they said: "Vulkan performed better [than DX12]" in RDR2
- That might be down to that specific Vulkan/DX12 code as well; in 3DMark it seems to depend on the driver: https://www.anandtech.com/show/11223/quick-look-vulkan-3dmark-api-overhead - overall very little difference.
- RDR2 uses riders, not drivers. that might explain things!
