I'm currently using Linux on a 2012 Macbook pro. Works like a charm. Official updates stopped working on this years ago. -

- I don't care about average Trumpster's definition of communism. I think capitalism itself is good way to incentivize production of goods and services, but it should be implemented with guardrails, to prevent accumulation and increase of inequality. Preferrably before heads will start to fall.

No issues with "official" updates on 2009 laptop here. Ok - the gfx driver has its moments sometimes. - @hot multimedia: I once told you it can't work that way in the long run. It has its own "AI", it's one-directional, like gravity, it will shed any regulation sooner or later. But let's not go there.
- Very convinient for that "AI" if one thinks like that. I suppose equal rights for women can't also "work in the long run" because it's just "natural order of things". :-D
- What they call AI is applying multiplications on bits that are published on the internet. I did this in 1998 on an Amiga. What took them so long? It's beneficial. Just compare with the useless mess that is web search nowadays.
- I think what 4gentE referred to as "AI" here, mean the tendency how system of individual agents (no pun intended) behaves like an organism itself that tries to preserve it's own existence. Not the statistics machines optimized with the scraped stolen data.
