realtime synths own -
most "realtime synths" are only realtime on load anyways, no use in wasting the cpu-power at sound when you can render it on runtime -
That was always the way in the past, I think things are moving towards realtime now tho. Farbrausch intros for e.g. -
Helix/Inque had a switch to make theirs realtime... Plus realtime rendering opens up a whole new world of gratuitious filter sweeps :) -
and coders dream, synching the music to the code instead of the reverse :D -
Fix the framerate of the demo, sync music to code, no more complaints about not being able to see the demo properly on slow machines :) -
well why not just change the frequency of the pc speaker by a random amount each frame? what could be cooler than that? :) -
And change the colour of each pixel by a random amount too? Surely this has been done in a 256b? -
The very first standalone asm I did was 93 bytes :) -
bloodnok: what to you mean? the filter sweeps are just as good if you render the track on runtime :) (and we've already synced to pc speaker in an unreleased prod :) -
so who's gonna do a Physical Modelling synth? I want an intro with a sax solo! -
the future looks bright... physical modelling synths, realistic speech, generated lifelike models, all in 64kb :) -
want to form a demogroup? andre@krang.net -
