ReactOS is nice, though kind of incomplete for demoscene use. Also, http://xkcd.com/619/ -
Preacher wins. -
Flash is another proprietary archaism that surely must die. -
Also: I just love how the ReactOS website doesn't have any screenshots or video, whatsoever, and that it looks like it was made in 1998. YAY MODERN! -
It does, just pretty hidden and very poor, which is almost like it didn't exist. http://www.reactos.org/screenshots -
test test, this is a single line ... -
well those pesky youtube videos run better on flash than html5 if you have less cpu than quadcore i7.. :P :) -
flash is usually just h264 with extra wrapping and overhead, where html5 is just h264. If flash runs better, something is badly wrong. -
Tomoya: I like how their screenshot of VLC is just the blank startup screen. Is that meant to tell us "look, our OS can play video!" or "look, we can't get VLC to do anything useful yet!"? -
dunno about html5 video, but at least flash is gpu accelerated, on my U7300 cpu hit is almost zero with flash, on html5 80-100% -
leGend: if you have video decode hardware, why isn't the browser using it? Sounds like a browser issue more than anything -
So you just answered it - something IS badly wrong. -
re: flash and hw decode, i have to have it disabled on my laptops GPU or all videos show green.. and resuilts in all videos using lots of CPU -
yeah, maybe its wrong in FF. @Canopy: New drivers for GPU? -
Anyone into win3.11? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYYiRry5Png -
also: no problems here using Flash. @Optimus oh god no kill it with fire (I'm thankful we got rid of XP :D) -
no chance of new drivers for my vaio :( updates for mobile GPUs suck -
Meanwhile in Russia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pk6BNXXCHU -
charcoal and other such madness -
Flash ++ -
flash is the future! -

StingRay: it seems they could use something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HAACJjA1vg -
@canopy: there are modified drivers available to certain degree for different mobile GPU's. My nvidia G210M wasnt also updated by Asus, found new modified drivers. http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ and http://www.omegadrivers.net/ are most used I think.. -
Well... I don't wanna discuss it anymore. I understood. http://pastebin.com/Wke5v4xM
