ok, this is a historical one.

i can't remember this being done before — at least not at THIS level. everything is perfect: smooth, gorgeous, brilliant.

this is truly an outstanding technical achievement with most original concept.

my favorite demo of the past several years across all platforms.

i am speechless.

Interesting idea, and it looks very smooth and anti-aliased at times... but I'm sorry, maybe I'm getting old and my vision is going, but I can barely see your demo in a tiny 2.5x1.5cm thumbnail in the already small GBA screen. This is not an enjoyable demo-watching experience.

also a couple of suggestions for the final version:

1. since you're obviously just changing the background affine transform for the display flip, why not allow it to be flipped at any time, to see how it looks one way or another without having to reboot

2. I also tried it on a NDS lite, and there is no correct orientation. Maybe some displays have a 90-degree subpixel layout. Since your tiny demo screen would fit the display sideways, why not also allow 90 degree rotations?

A very original idea :) At first I didn’t get it, and then I really got it!

Now that's subpixel rendering, great job!

This looks great. Well executed with lots of effects that take advantage of the subpixel trick.

Really enjoyed this. Demoscene essence to me.

on the big screen this was super enjoyable :) I agree that probably nobody will watch this on device since it's super tiny, but a fun idea, great execution!

Runs well and looks amazing on the real hardware (New Nintendo 3DS XL in GBA-1:1 pixel mode).
Although, the screen size is too small. It would be great to see a full-screen demo next time. May be for 3DS, by the way?
