rulez rulez! next time move more the layers ;)
oh, that's pretty bad. it's a limit to how many "let's just rotate an object here"-"scenes" i can stand. bad textures too. the background-images where the best thing about this demo, the music was okay. (ps! upload your stuff to scene.org - it took ages to get it down..)

won't thumb it down because the music and graphics were quite sweet, but where are the effects ? This was way too static ...
Great!
nice prod.
Lot of shape rotations (almost tired of them), good music, great visuals (those metal gear cells were great!), nice sync...
Yeah! rulez mucho mucho ^_^

Quite simple and it has its share of faults, but it has been a long long time since I saw a demo with so much life and energy. I really enjoyed it and the non-stop dancing visuals took me back to the days of The Polka Bros for a minute or so.

Definite vote from me for this uplifting demo.

While i won't thumb down this prod, it is still very average. Music isn't my fave style, but it has a good beat.
Objects were pretty good though.
Keep on knocking out those prods though, they get better each time. Don't let anyones negativity get you down.
I look forward to more prods from you guys in the future.
added on the 2004-03-29 02:25:34 by Intrinsic Intrinsic
Yeah, and like Wade said it does have "Life and energy" and you can tell you put effort into it.
added on the 2004-03-29 02:27:15 by Intrinsic Intrinsic
Whoah, itsa photoshop demo! ;) - quite nice 2D-overlay-stuff, but pretty static and repetitive. Also, the timing is off most of the time.

Wade, you need to get out more ;)

I like this one, although has some ugly textures. Good work Collapse.

World championship in rotating static objects, and not reseting the screen on exit. Allthough it lacks some serious code, this was a cool prod thanks to excelent background images and design. Music was kinda good

Object Rotation, Object Rotation.. but so beatiful!! Music r00lz.

This demo is now part of my "reserve" :P

Kickass soundtrack!

I've seen a quality improvement in this demo, design is smooth and detailed, and music and synchro is also cool. Congrats! :)
rulez added on the 2004-03-29 14:16:11 by yero yero
Actually, you got a lot of power. The beggining is really nice, but the idea to use that reason pattern used as well in deepness in the sky wasn't a good choice because makes the people think where they listened it before. Anyway, the music overall is good, great one wizard.

The 3dstuff and design needs more work and the synch need a hardwork, with nice synch the demo will be much better.

As I said, you got power, you only need more time.

nice demo from my collapse's friends. May be too mush static 3D. It's a wonderful demo for your eyes. Don't miss watch it.

yep! an ok prod. (xtreme abuse on 255,255,255 flashes, ripped the render2texture wave effect from TheFlowJob/Hansa, 512x512 gfx as Mr.indecent 800x600 scale,...)...LOL just kidding.

This second demo attempt from Collapse comes here to demonstrate this group is growing and ready to kick some asses! KEEP it ON GUYZ!...btw we've got a Tie at the party entries?
rulez added on the 2004-03-29 17:05:46 by JaK JaK
Also 3d static... the backgrounds rocks and music is good. Y can make it better, sure!
Is also cool to watch, greet work ;)

the music alone deserves a thumb up, the design and graphics are cool, the code is standard object show with some nice stuff :)

some things worth mentioning:
- the first object seemed to have a really bad day ("hey, let's view half of the polygons only and try to convince the others it's design" :)
- how the hell did you manage to miss ALL (and i mean ALL) the syncs in that poor demo? :))
- perfect example of having a speechsynth, having subtitles, and STILL making it a puzzle to figure out :) guys, the subtitles were set up BAD :)
rulez added on the 2004-03-29 17:43:49 by Gargaj Gargaj
nice design, good music, but.. this demo needs much better and more tight sync..

and yeah, it was almost only rotating objects ;) please do something more with 'em..

also, I thought "oh no, there's something wrong with my graphics driver" when I saw that first object ;)

but..

better sync, please..
rulez added on the 2004-03-29 18:04:02 by fox fox
I forgot my vote.

PS: Spend more time to compose the demo next time, the music needs better synch and visuals.
rulez added on the 2004-03-29 19:36:56 by mrdoob mrdoob
definetly the best demo at ifparty 2004. some lack in variation. these guys seems to understand that design isn't only plain 3d models but light, effects, variation in graphic, colours a.s.o.
rulez added on the 2004-03-29 20:34:21 by superfrog superfrog
I liked it. The visuals are very good and stylish, and the demo has an overall consistent "feeling". On the other side, the repetition of rotating objects can make the demo boring...

So, you have improved a lot (and thumbs up for that :), and with some more work you could make really impressive things. Keep up the good work!

i totally digged this one. awesome attitude, and excelent overlays. some objects was also really good, some were mediocre

did my ti4600 totally fuck this up or is everyone here stoned? (oh yeah, forgot to nag about the out-of-sync - don't use fmod!!)

Really great improvements in 2D artwork and music over Let Yourself Go. Next time I hope to see some more interesting/varied scenes and better synch.
Thumbs up!

kudos to party coding... nice objects, but wrong sync and too much staticness. It's a piggie from me

not really original, but very well made and efficient (specially the music and the 2D backgrounds/foregrounds :)

well, thx so much for the comments. we have tried to make a nice demo with a very high quality.. but not time becouse we made in a hurry the Shash´s house. we worked very hard to finish before the deadline and we made it.
Music is very good to me , powerfull tune, when we´ll have a cameras system there will be much better prods.
Shash keep on working becouse you are a good coder and only you need is time to be a demoscene star ;) joking
Well graphics was a very hard task too, there are a lot of visual information in this demo. So i hope you like it.
Thx to all my sceners friends that holds us with their positive comments.

working working, we are Collapse

Superb music, 2d layers are great to me... 3d objects are ok, but too static..
(Aunque nosotros hicimos practicamente lo mismo y con 2d chungo :P)

well, I really liked the graphics. Textures, 2d and 3d looked really great! Codewise it was nothing but with the help of nice graphics and good music it turned out ok!

The music was quite my cup of tea. Unfortunately the visuals didn't exploit the accoustics and seemed quite static to me. Overlays and such were nice but rotating some random objects around an axis and changing the background pic makes me miss some more dynamic. At least try to use some plasma or a tunnel in the background, so some movement is there :)
Synch was not perfect (on my rather slow system) but quite okay.
But these things aside: I liked it.

Really a huge improvement since past productions, this is definitely the way =)

So cheers, an thumbs up.

Good work :) Shock i love your layers, great job, but it can better if you move/make effects/or something instead of static backgrounds. The sync also can be better but in general great improvement ;)

gfx sticks after 80% load on my AMD1800/win89SE/ti4200 - music plays and makes my feet move so it's "ok"
added on the 2004-04-28 15:33:14 by Zzed Zzed
Zzed: actually, we don't have any win9x to test it, neither it was tested on that OS, so it might be a win9x incompatibility, since I've seen this running on multiple gf4 configs.

Here's some 3D objects and we're going to spin them around! Pretty much sums up this demo.

Most objects were pretty mediocre, which matchs the music, but I did like the one sparkling red thing near the end.
nice 2d backgrounds

Okay, so we have a bunch of photoshopped backgrounds with a bunch of static objects rotating on top of them. Hello, 1996 called..

And then we should have music but I hear nothing (which is funny, since this is the first demo in years in which sound refuses to work. And there's a second long pause when it's switching scenes, which is quite unforgivable in a fast-paced demo. Sorry.
sucks added on the 2005-05-20 13:40:38 by Preacher Preacher
Well, I agree for the 3d objects : textures used seem too poor. But it deserves a thumb up for the good synch, the nice- bump!bump! - trax and some ideal 2D gfx.
