The first 8-channel music on the STe, 25 kHz mixing. A huge leap from the rather usual 12.5 kHz 4-channel routines at the time being.

The music is composed in Cubase and U17's player acts as a soundmodule live in Cubase (MROS driver). It's a pity it was not adoped by more people.

You can plug in your MIDI keyboard and play around with the voice sets in this demo as well :)

Missed this one back in the days since I did not own an STE at the time.

Well, no bad, but basically they do in 8 channels what most trackers were able to do with 4. The reason is probably the total lack of effects while the notes are playing.

A midi based system gives you a lot of freedom when composing, it's very natural, but it's totaly inneficient from a resource usage point of view.

I have to agree with DBug a bit: The tune doesn't really show its 8 channels, still this is highly impressive!
