Nice modelling, proper lofi stuff :)
The way we rendered everything needed two color channels for non-color related stuff and we wanted to avoid more than two render passes to overcome this limit, so we had to present colors on YPbPr (with Y being always 1.0) in the first pass. That's why they're so weird.
