This demo is for the KC 85/4 computer build in East Germany around 1984, but there's no such category here at Pouet.

First serious release on the platform. Thanks @doc_k for live explanations.

Would it work on KC 85/3? I ask, as I happen to have one of those... :)

Feels like a speccy with an Amstrad CPC palette. Is this related to KC kompact CPC klone/ersatz from east germany ?
Thumb up for the rare format. (could choose wild as format)

I'm interested in the sourcecode, even without any effects, just to understand how to start something and some entry-points. I also have 4x KC85/3 in the basement and want to code on them ;) KC85/4 was very rare back then...

From Wikipedia: "The KC 85/3 ... had 16 KB of RAM, but could be expanded with add-on modules. ... The KC 85/4 had 64 KB of RAM (not counting the luxurious video ram of more than 40 KB) and better graphics capabilities."

So, I guess demo wouldn't work on 85/3. Nonetheless, thumbs up for choosing this platform! As it is a rare one, could somebody upload a video of the demo?

Good stuff for a completely unknown platform ! Thanks for the explanations at party place!

@zzarko: It's dedicated especially to KC 85/4. But you may like to look forward for some of further upcoming releases. :)

A video is part of the scene.org archive as well as screenshots and the original soundtrack.

@MacDeath: KC 85/4 was produced by the same manufacturer as the KC compact.

@dOc.K: sorry for not checking the archive before I asked... I figured I wouldn't download as it wouldn't work on my machine.

Awesome to see a demo on this old platform from eastern germany. I first got in contact with the KC85 on a CPC meeting in germany around... hmmm... 2001!?
Thanks for the greetings in the demo. Unfortunately we had to get the shuttle bus and I would have liked to talk longer with you. Btw, I guess we met on another scene meeting before... maybe on the Evoke last year?

Thanks a lot... I'll try that... hope you liked my Basic Demo live at the partyplace ;) Lost memories from 3rd schoolclass back in 1987...

I've been pleased that sb. wrote a little demo during my brief absence. Using the blink effect for the circles turned out to be rather spectacular. :) Visitors passing by were curious about how it was done.

Too bad time travel has not been invented yet, I so would like to go back to the end of the 80s with this demo to shock my useless computer teacher. :D

Knowing full well what the Kleincomputer is capable of I can easily say: You rule! :)

Ganz grosser Daumen nach Oben!!!
Reminds me to the days back at Schuelerrechenzentrum here in Dresden, although they only had KC85-1/Z9001.
Hope you will continue on this platform - Da geht doch noch mehr! :)

@Doc.K
Hey, I wrote that little piece of software in a few minutes, until I was kicked away from an orga who told me not to sit in the mainroute for emergency-reasons. Without chair I ended up with the magic PE*IS word blinking, too. ;) Now I checked the plattform and it's magic bytes and I have to say it's kinda straightforward...I'm very interested in programming the good old KC85. I'm only struggling if I use the IRM of the KC85/3 which I have in real or the IRM of the KC85/4 which is way better but only emulated on PC.

Will pester the guys from the Robotron Fanclub at the Vintage Computer Festival Europe in Munich end of this month. They have to run this on their KC85/4!
