What's wrong doing conversions? Do we need to go through this once again?
Amiga 500 had 68000 + blitter + copper and stuff, whereas Atari ST only had a 68000.

The point of this kind of demos was to try to make a conversion using pure 68000 code. A challenge somehow.

This kind of remark always comes from people who have no clue about a given platform and only saw a few demos and screenshots. Too bad...

we all know that it is easier to make filled vecs on atari st than on amiga ocs :P

conversions are ok, but atari scene lived from conversions, there came no innovations from the atari oldschool demos :P

and yes, i <3 atari
i just wonder why there were no own ideas :P i didnt say the demo is bad or something, so stop feeling offended...

dont even insinuate that atari scene is unimaginative, keops will bite your head off and throw it to the fish ;)

Next possibility to bite TMB's head off: function 04 come and bring your favourite weapons with you :)

tmb: you once wanted to teach me the story of Equinox, I'm still waiting...

In the meantime please get an Atari an watch a few demos. 20 conversions out of hundreds of demos is not much imo.

ps: bashing Atari/Amiga/C64/Spectrum/whatever is ok, as long as it comes from people who actually know what they are talking about :)

tmb^scx is not a guy you can trust. He sold me a "fridge" the other day... It turned out to be a heavily modified oven!
Pure trip 3d, façon starwars.

when i look at all these demos :

http://www.pouet.net/top10.php?type=prods&platform=Atari+ST&x=28&y=11

i dont see amiga-ripped demos everywhere ... ;)

I don't want to break down a war here ... those days are history ... anyway ... I think coding 3d vector stuff on ST was not that easy ... or did we have helper chips (blitter, paula, aso.) installed ??! Cannot remember ... :) So doing conversions was quite a technical challenge for ST coders ... playing mod files without any paula was quite cpu intensive ... using no blitters to have some stuff drawn on screen was as well ...

uupps ... just saw that keops mainly wrote the same ... :)

well ... *thumbsup* for that prod ... Aggression "life rullar" (remember that ?!) ...

505: It was also featured on POV Compact disc #43 in 1990, so the date is pretty TRUE. ;)

nice logo and not bad for 1990 - but some parts look more like an slideshow... - still worth a small thumb up

yes, there were no innovations on ATARI and only megademos with mainmenu and no multiparts.

I did not like the music and i do not like spaceshipt. deserves a thumb for not being a megademo at its time though.

conversion or not, that song is very memorable and IMO much better than the original one.
