Nice enough. Good tune in part 2 and decent logo in part 1.

probably the correct title would be 'se zitaei o ilios' ...
added on the 2007-11-12 11:11:25 by Navis Navis
Which means?

Geia sou re Navis :-)
No... not 'zitaei'... 'gitai' is the word that was ment to be there. Writing greek with latin letters is a bit of lottery, anyway ;-)

I suppose you wanted "kitai" (koitaei), to make a full title of "Se kitai o ilios" meaning, "The sun's looking at you"..

you are absolutely right, but the greek 'k' is pronounced in a different way compared to e.g. the german 'k', so I preferred to take the phonetic spelling (for ze tschermans, so to say :-).
As I said, greek in latin letters can't never be mapped properly... maybe we use greek letters for the next d-mo ;-)

nice parallax effect, but why is the sun so pissed off?

zeld!n, the K pronounciation varies depending on the vowel that follows.. same as in english.. K in Kill is pronounced differently than K in Konk! Anyhow, K in Kitai is pronounced exactly as K in Kill. As for greek character mapping into latin, there's a whole "language" dedicated to that, called "greeklish".

aMusic, wow... now this is interesting. Didn't knew about this greeklish thing, thanx for the tip... have to keep that in mind. So this demo(name) remains a orthographic/phonetical curiosity :-) But believe me: the german 'k' is different to the english one and you greeks really don't want to hear how germans pronounce 'kitai' ;-P

Well, saying "gitai" in greek instead of "kitai" makes you sound like your nose is stuffed =)

I see it was written in CC65. Interesting. I am just looking at the code. Writting good stuff for CPC under C prooved to be working greatly so I thought if it would be a good idea for C64 coding too, searched about demos done with CC65 and found this. Cool!
