What :D

What the fuck happened to you?! Insane stuff. I don't exactly adore the colors, but the visual quality is just over the top regardless. Love to have you back.

Really stylish and decent music. Unfortunately it runs about 3fps even at 720p on my computer, which I am a bit surprised since unreal engine is decently optimised. Must be the GI or something.

mog, lada - vaz-2109. russian car for "real guys", hehe. most of people who buy (and tune!) this car, called "gopniki" or "pacany". It's like "Jonny's&Marina's" in Europe terms - trash "tuned" car with big subs, beer, etc...
Releated joke:
- how to tune vaz-2109?
- firstly sell it, buy a real car, and tune it

Ei vittu.. Worst group name ever, super stylish demo. Reminded me of Ziphead, except that this one was less repetitive and more entertaining.

Doesn't run on windows 10 :-(

What drivers did you use ? Tried running it with latest WHQL drivers (355.82) on Win 8.1 + GTX 980 Ti and it's missing light in many parts of the demo.

didn't run on my GF980 but the youtube capture showed some sexy demo!
rulez added on the 2015-09-03 17:38:17 by keito keito
I'm actually not sure if this is supposed to even run realtime (shown from video at compo at least, was it a realtime cap?). I got less than 1fps at 720p for about a dozen seconds until it crashed probably due to the insane rendering times.
added on the 2015-09-03 17:41:49 by noby noby
Capture was made using shadowplay on gtx680 afaik, so it's supposed to run in realtime, yes.
For 1080p though, you really want to run it on a big maxwell thing.

Ok then, I guess my R9 270 just isn't up to the task.

oh, i really don't think vxgi is supposed to run smoothly on radeons atm =))))

shit fashion music

I dunno why but it runs like a slideshow on mine too, I have a new nvidia maxwell card and I can't see why an older 680 would run 10 times faster. I was hoping they would release a final version maybe reduce the number of cones or increase the trace step size in the VXGI because it is pretty brutal. The scenes don't seem to have much geometry but maybe a lot of lights contributing to the GI.

I'll just thumb it up anyway from the video capture I guess.

Like Rusakova .. Latest WHQL drivers & GTX 970 oc, runs 40+ fps but lighting is missing, very dark tunnel and cubes scenes
Runs under W10 with Fraps enabled (just close the message box with the cross, and don't click OK)

60-80 fps with GTX980 @ 720
40-60 fps @ 1080

SLI doesn't matter.

Looks very nice, cool effects and good use of screen space reflections.
But the slideshow and the fact that half of the good looking comes from UE4 brings it down to piggy for me. If you're going to use a commercial engine, at least do a decent job at optimizing.

Awesome! Specially loved the scenes with the Lada Samara! :) Now do such a demo involving German Kulturgut (MK1 and/or MK2 Golf). :D

in fact, the demo doesn't use screen space reflections at all.
it uses vxgi, realtime dynamic global illumination with realtime diffuse and specular reflections.
you can download ue4 version of vxgi and use it as it is.

So, I don't think it's VG job to optimize anything, they only could set it up in a less demanding way, as Drift said.

Ah I missed his comment and didn't know about VXGI, thanks for the explanation.

I disagree with your conclusion though; writing a demo certainly makes it your job to make sure it runs smoothly.

At first I was like wtf, the lighting is very nice, that's impossibru. Then I saw that it's done with Unreal engine. But still like it, very nice!

No partyversion? Maybe I should remove mine.

Why do I need a C++ package for the final version? My PC runs modern games just fine.

Great visuals and pace! That Unreal makes it look good is a pity, but there's also a lot of design work I like, so thumb up so far!

But that it tries to connect to the internet is a big no-no for me. Piggy.
