Signal In Disarray by Arkos [web]

An audio showcase grew into a small, small demo!
The 125 displayed colors take advantage of the original CPC screen. It may however look boring on a modern/big screen, sorry for this.

Code, music, player, tracker: Targhan/Arkos.
Font, logo, color consultant: SuperSylvestre/Les Sucres en Morceaux.

Presented at Revision 2026.

Tools used:
- Rasm by Roudoudou/FlowerCorp
- Ace-DL by Roudoudou/FlowerCorp
- AMSpirit by DManu
- Arkos Tracker 3.6 (SID powered!)
- ZX0 by Einar Saukas, spke and uniabis
- DSK by Sid/Impact
- AddAmsdosHeader by Zigazou

Special thanks to:
- Doclands/Overlander for pushing me into making SID (damn, I'm so weak-minded).
- Zik and Offset for their technical advice.
- 64 Nops for their technical articles.
- Roudoudou for his tools, quick answers, fast fixes and new feature integrations.
- All the people on Discord who answered quickly my technical or tools-related questions.
- Krusty, Eliot, Cracky, Hicks, who tried to help me figuring out one last nasty "bug" when linking.

This demo features ST-like SID, using Arkos Tracker 3.6 (to be released soon).
The SID engine features:
- on CPC old, one SID channel at a time (on any channel).
- no grit! no disgraceful buzz!
- no clicks on new notes or glissendo!
- manage high/low shelf ratio (... which YM format does not handle!).
- manage low-shelf volume (... which YM format does not handle!).
- manage sid-arpeggio (allowing to create a two-note chord on one channel).
- the CPC old player runs at 15.6 Khz, which is enough and CPC-plus like. Arkos Tracker handles any frequency.
All this allows new sounds I never heard even on ST! And of course, it is the first time ever that you can use SID, in a simple and powerful interface!

I might be wrong, but it is also the first time that an *original* song is used with SID on CPC!!

What's next in a short future?
- A CPC Plus player for 3-channel timer FXs for no CPU time!
- Sync buzzer!
All this will be present in forthcoming versions of Arkos Tracker.

Greetings to the whole CPC scene! Keep being creative!
