VIP 99 release
This is the second release of what will be a 100% PC port of the STE screen
"Illusion" that was published in the "Phaleon Giga Demo" on Atari ST, in the
year 1992.
Since Atari ST emulator authors are not ready to follow the examples of other
emulator programers, you cannot count on these to view your favorite ST demoes
on your powerful PC...
I cannot believe that an emulator (supposedly the best !) is not able to
handle correctly color changes, keyboard, ...
Vesa compatibility is certainly a must, but the emulation is as crappy in
320x200x8 than in 1280x1024x16... So what's use ?
I choose to convert this screen for the following reasons:
- It's the last screen I've wrote on ST.
- Its a STE only screen, that shows impressive features (remember: 1992)
- It's totaly fullscreen hardcoded.
- It uses a lot the blitter (transferts, masking, ...)
- It was present on the last disk of the most protected ever done megademo...
Wait for the final version.
And for my following REAL PC demo.
