Yes, it's nice you're able to to this with flash, but I can't help thinking that's a bit useless. Wouldn't be better to do it in a "real" language?

Flash is cross-platform? Now that's a good joke. Current versions are only available for Win32/x86, OSX/ppc and OSX/x86. There are no x86_64 versions, and even the common Linux/x86 combination is missing. Cross-plattform, my ass.
Linux version of flash9 was shown 1 week ago already. So the release will be soon.
