cybernostra: i mailed you a question to the only address i found on the main website "main at cybernostra.net", i didn't get any reply..

my question was about the hotels : "are there any you would recommend that are not that far from the party place and reasonably cheap ?"

It would probably be sort of more efficient if the hotel info was posted on the website or here - I would be interested as well.

Interesting move to have it colliding with the biggest C64 party... Good luck with getting any visitors from that particular scene.

For some reason the C64 never was quite succesful in france. I never saw a single one in my childhood.

radiantx, you obviously have never organised a party. colliding dates are not usually easy to avoid.

you should appreciate people organising a demoparty (which is a *lot* of effort!), rather than bitch at them - even if you're sad that something (like a date) is not just the way you hoped it would be.

Besides, knos seems to be right, there is not even one single french guy at the X registration list :-)

Blame the politicians for having provided french computers Thomson TO7 and MO5 to schools.

it'd be more reasonable to blame the british and their CPC. :)

What's with the timetable?
http://www.medianostra.com/page/about/sched.html
I acknowledge you wanted to be a "special" demoparty, but could you please put a lil effort to clarify deadlines and competitions scheduling?

It's particularly ackward to me (well, yeah, I haven't visited those many parties...) to see deadlines placed 1 day after compos, right before voting sessions.

News :

Autodesk need to be partner of the demoparty. They Phone us today for a presentation of 3DS new release.

what you think ?
If by "being partner" they mean showing off and advertizing their products freely without giving anything in return, I don't see the point :)

Oh they certainly will give something in return, but what ?

So, The schedule time line release is online on the www.mainparty.net
