When I bought mine back in february 1996 (first version, second batch) I payed around 6000kr (800 Euro) plus 3000kr for 16MB RAM. :)

Last year I bought a 64MB module for 98kr. Actually it seems they still have some for sale. Take a look at http://bj-trading.dk under 'Restsalg'. It is not all EDO modules that work with the Blizzard boards, but this one does.

Considering how the equivalent of a 5 euro PCI LAN adapter can net ten to twenty times more if it can be plugged into a C64, you really need to get out more.

How on earth can you use this phrase in connection with knowledge about obselete computers from the 80ies?

I think somebody else needs to get out more..

elan:
nope. AFAIK you only can plug an 030 starting from a certain board revision that has a cpu socket.
The 600 was a doomed line from the start anyway, but
she fits perfect in a standard laptop-case ;P

Elan: The M-Tec 630 card is the only option. 48Mhz(or was it 42?) doesnt sound bad, But its still just an Amiga 600. The Card was limited in Ram...so not very useful....

Aah, it came at last.

Just spent 5 hours trying to catch up on all the Amiga prods i missed since the late ninties.

Do Blizzard 1260s usually need some kind of cooling? The processor is finger-burning hot right now, I'm scared to shut the trapdoor...

nagato^: Don't shut it, and preferrably get some air in under it, by letting the sides of the machine rest on books or something similar. Or get a tower case...

Now that you necromanced the thread it is :)

68060 was when 68000 became truly beautiful (unlike Pentium), and if you have a Blizzard 1260 for sale for 260 EUR I'm buying :)

Any idea if that beauty survives in Coldfire MCUs?
