"The demoscene is not about creating benchmarks".
That's _exactly_ where you got it all wrong, Slummy. ;)

Archmage: Join Futuremark then...
well, demo's where back in the old days a constant struggle about pushing the limits (and for fun ofcourse!) of hardware that was implanted (C64, Amiga...you name them). So thats kinda creating the perfect benchmark ;)
Mm no because that is like the lousiest benchmark ever.

The perversion of demos being so far removed from real use.

I find demos more useful than benchmarks.

Btw, the DS's two screens don't seem to be too convenient in the context of demos.

of course, you dont have to use both screens.

having to buy a flash card (or hack your bluetooth driver) to get your code running on the hardware isnt convenient either.

But neither is coding in 4k. Or writing a software rasteriser. Or well... anything fun, really ^_^

what you need for dev is a slot-1 flashcard (m3 simply/acekard/ds-extreme/r4ds/ninjapass etc whatever) and microsd memory. they both cost together maybe 50-60euros? and if two screens are bad you can use only one and maybe use other for something else...

:) TMB Good advertising ...
But those 2 devices are not so simple to use like ds-x :)

yes the DS-Xtreme looks cool, unfortunatly i don't know, because you didn't send one ;)

on the other side i prefer crt's with changeable flashcards. the built-in stuff is not so user-friendly, because i would need 3 DS-X to have all the stuff i want with me :P

but anyway, here is one for you:

tmb: no shit sherlock. and that review is cockshit. that review sucks monkeys dick. eats poo.

it took me less than 5 minutes to set up r4ds so i think it is as easy ds-x at least.

the review is ok to me, because it shows the pcbs of both crts and you can see small differences, from the pics i would say the m3 sd simply is a cheaper version of the r4 revolution, but the r4 is much cheaper (at least in hongkong)

i posted the review because of this:

tmb: that's because the "pass"-sticker is the expensive part.

reason why m3 might be more expensive is bundled microsd card reader is more expensive but i still sucks ass
