Gotta love the massive "American Cultural Conventions" comments that will emerge of this.

Oh, Gargaj, I guess one of the Digg-people is a wikipedia-guy also, because the Timbaland-page is now changed again. I think he wrote that "DIGG.com is NOT a source!" as the reason for the revision. I'm sure you can use SomethingAwful or even Scene.org as a source. Linking to the original soundfile ought to be a source good enough even for wikipedia-people. :)

Worry not - I'm keeping a watchful eye over the page :) I have some experience in how to fight over Wikipedia things. This thing's gonna stay ;)

Wikipedia isn't the-breaks.com...

Oh, the Timbaland page... haven't paid any attention to that. I'll check it out.

Ok, I posted to the Timbaland talk page; thing is, he has a point in Digg not being a valid source, since it's just a collection of shit from all around the Internet most of the time, but I argued that the original SAforums thread isnt because the first post by Okkie actually contains decent linkage with various mirrors.
The YouTube video will most likely be a watershed precedent in this case, since it's an actual comparison.

Gargaj: Good work dude.

I submitted the Digg-link to Reddit.com also, so feel free to boost it there also: http://reddit.com/info/y6pf/comments

I also submitted a story for SlashDot, but I have no idea if it will get put in circulation, so others are encouraged to do the same. I filed it under "Your Rights Online / Music".

Guess which song was the most downloaded file on scene.org yesterday? Can't wait to see the stats for the upcoming days :-)

It could be way better, as Tempest writes in the comments at Digg.com.

tempest: If you would like me to make a new video, just send me an email and I'll fix it right up, WITH the sections you feel are the most similar.

I dunno, does this count for a non-digg, non-forum source?

don't edit the Timbaland article, it's entirely unverified that he did the ripping. he produced part of the album but the actual ripper could be anyone on the credits listing.
The only place where the issue is appropriate at at the moment is ONLY the album article, as long as the song doesnt have its own.

Shifter: Something in non-german would be nice also. :)

Now; if we could only get some actual hard-core bloggers and news-organizations to pick this up, all this buzz could actually be good for something.
