Numerica art party remote entries - do you need to pay to submit a prod?

category: general [glöplog]

I'm a little confused by the wording on the page, can anyone straighten me out? Also I don't know how to pay them remotely :( We found out this afternoon and are working through the night to get an invite demo we were working on ready to submit. Anyone from Wipe who can give me advice? Contact me at expunge@gmail.com or on here....

General informations
The remote productions for oldskool demo and olskool intro categories are not accepted because we haven't got all types of machines.

Only are entitled to subject productions and to vote those which will have paid!

I think they mean you can only vote with an entry ticket. (?)

Oh _there_ it is, the sole link to pay them was buried in their newsfeed RSS. Sheesh.

Anyone else have problems having a payment get through to them? We just had one clear, but then their site gave us an error :(

That's why i dont like those PayPal shit for sending remote releases and it IS NOT the 1st time it happends, when you're requested to pay that way..sucks imho..i dont care about the prices if i am not there..so why the fuck do i need to pay :D?

I don't mind supporting the party... after all, we are eligible for the prize money just as much as all the lucky euros who were able to just drive over there (without having to pay for a trans-atlantic flight!) I just wish there was a better way to pay than paypal. It's given me nothing but problems for the last year.
But what other options are there, really? Wipe can't afford to run their own CC processor... and mailing them a cheque wouldn't have worked, since we found out about Numerica's remote entries like 12 hours ago. ^_^

Eh, don't they know that getting entries is a privilege, not a burden?

Yeah, and remote entrants can win also! so that's nice.
