scene music stolen

category: music [glöplog]
anyway has this story got to a closure yet? Timbaland vs tempest I mean. whats the latest?
^^ : I'm also waiting for a picture from the states from a certain scener besides the statue of liberty ..lol

dunno if you ever go on youtube, I'm gonna stop posting soon on that specific topic. It's getting pretty bad in the sense of some of the idiots posting are fanboy sheep with no brains of their own asking questions that were said months ago.

thing is, its not gonna be forgotten or go away. Computer music magdid a nice article on it and LOTS of producers / engineers read that. will do his creditability no favours.lol
almost there...

old64scener: Kudos for manning the clueshoppe over on youtube for so long, but the remaining fanboy sheep are a lost cause I reckon. They're just mindless consumers who have never even stopped to think about the processes that go into making the music they buy (and/or leech)... it's never even occurred to them that producers are meant to get sample clearance. As a result, they think that our line is "Timbaland is shit because he samples", which is totally missing the point, but we'll never be able to correct that misconception because that would require them to a) have an attention span longer than 4 seconds and b) actually give a fuck in the first place.

Remember, the only reason those comment pages are full of clueless fucktards is that all rational-thinking people who saw the videos had no problem making their minds up, and moved on. So do take a break, it will do wonders for your blood pressure you know.

songtext of timbalands new song - Give It To Me(ft.Nelly Furtado&Justin Timberlake)

[Timbaland:]
When timbo is in the party everbody put up their hands
I get a half a mill for my beats... you get a couple grand
Never gonna see the day that i ain't got the upper hand
I'm respected from californ.i.a. way down to japan
I'm a real producer and you just the piano man
Your song gonna top the charts, i heard em, i'm not a fan
Niggas talkin' greasy, i'm the one that gave them their chance
Somebody need to tell 'em they can't do it like i can

*grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* kiss my scene-ass!

It seems stealing music and claiming to have made it it more common than one should think.. Even Bjørn Lynne (good ole Dr.Awesome) had his music stolen by random dude who sold it for profit as his own music..

:O

I guess stealing from lesser known musicians and selling it without an Mtv hit makes it even easier to get away with it..

[timba]So, that's what sampling is. That's not stealing, 'cause everybody sample from everybody every day.[/timba]
[timba]Stole is like I walked in your house, watch you make that beat, took yourpro tools[/timba]

I can confirm she wasn't in my house. :(
What's next? Timbalame, Bjork, Nelly Furtado, and Justin Timberlake? He's he forming a choir?

That new Chemical Brothers track with Ali Love seems to be Timbaland inspired! That's quite a topsy-turvy!

that one ?

okkie: lyrics are rather apt... "take my bass and bang my drum".

could be re-wored to "steal my sidz, then act dumb" .

I think thats far from the best work of the chemi's , but thats just me.
Yeah, that one. It seems they are pretty big Timbo fans and wanted to get that 'Justin' feel.

what do u think of the name "bite klub" ? ;-)
so whats teh newz?
^^ : dunno m8, i'm still waiting on a postcard. sooner it's sorted the better.

gasman: I'm still waiting for my loyalty card from "clueshoppe", but you know how the post is these days.lol

The mystery thickens... was Timbaland on a ripping spree back in 2006? Anyway Macho Man vs Justin Timberlake should be a clear win for Macho Man in a wrestling ring.

Ok, the songs are obviously not the same in any way except that both songs are totally crap, and shares a very similar style (not that people are able to hear that, but are all going "OMG this is an total rippoff"). But it's kind of fun that the worst pop act ever and the currently most acclaimed pop star makes more or less exactly the same shitty music... =)
