I see that Chaos Theory is displayed with other standard animation movies, no mention about the real-time or the 64 kb thing... Well, I'll take some pictures of it being displayed.

I don't understand either. I think they want it to 'open' the session - because I had to change it so that it has messages 'welcome to siggraph' and stuff like that.

I got the request from Debevec himself but never asked him exactly where and how it is going to be used !

far as I remember, he said something like ""pre-show" for the Electronic Theater" - basically some stuff they can warm up the audience with i guess.

I tried to take the pictures, in spite of the fact it was strictly forbidden (in fact a very serious guy came and not very kindly told me a lot of things in English that I didn't understand, but I clearly understood "pictures" and "strictly forbidden"). I took some pictures thou, but not interesting, some showing the people waiting for the projections (the room was for 400 people or so, it was full arround 75% when I attended), and one picture of Chaos Theory being played, but it's completely blurry and you mostly see black heads, and the ring of boxes if you it's there. Sorry :(

Interesting is it was shown on the "Music" section. I found quite arbitrary the section assigned to each piece, a bit random. People clapped a lot to CT (not the one with most claps, but it did very well). I wonder how much more they would have clapped if they knew it was real-time... I was thinking that if more scene prods will end up being shown on the sigg animation theater, we (or you guys friends of P.Devec) should ask for a realtime section if there is enough entries (there were some non scener realtime stuff too -with unreal engine or something).
