This elaborate appeal for unbanning Nitro reminded me that I shall apply for amnesty. Ironically I was banned for exactly the reasons butter listed, namely pointing out the inherent hypocrisy in some of the disccusions surrounding the banning of certain people.

So, PS, may I ask you to unban my main account? To my defense I would like to remark that I hardly posted anything to the pouet BBS, nor anywhere else, in the months leading to my ban.

i'll help you conclude the obvious: it's always subjective. so yes someone has to make decisions where the line lies, and that someone happens to be me. it's not a scientific selection criteria, it never claimed to be, the ban reasons exist to give you a hint on what you should defnitly avoid, that doesnt mean it takes exactly that quantity of annoyance or that you're safe if you stick with just slightly less. it simply means if you act like a self-absorbed lamer insulting, bitching and whinning to the majority of our users to the point of annoying most of them with your attitude you'll most probably get yourself a ban.

nitro has been lift of his ban in promise of changed behaviour, the moment he steps out of line he's back in the box for good. either you are unfamiliar with the concept of parole or you're too stupid to notice it.

stelthz: its not smart to troll about bans right after a request to change of behaviour atitude to the whole comunity. considering how you managed to annoy lots of users in this place in the past, the decision wasnt all that hard to kick you out.

if disagreeing with my opinions would be reason alone for a ban, over half of the users in this place (pretty much all active ones) would be out of the box by now.

ps: I never did anything to annoy you personally. That being out of the world; annoying you personally should never be a reason to ban people. If you view this place as a community you should but personal stuff aside and should ban based on the impact to the community. If people spam 300 images of laptops that surely is a reason to ban them. People disagreeing with your style of handling the administration is a different thing.

I thought LCF was amusing. I would still suggest to change the way the BBS works to reduce the visibility of individual troll threads, but that may be a moot point.

ps: point taken, but it don't get all worked up when people criticise you for your decisions later on. It will always get back to you, you can not silence everyone.
