flure: the entry fee is not set yet, but i can ensure you that it definitely will be AFFORDABLE. and don't forget about the LD discount when you live more than 800km away from cologne. in that case you'll have to use to contact formular to apply for it.

visit www.evoke-net.de to see our great new sponsors, amongst those Intel offering a hi-tech pc as first price for the demo compo.

visit www.evoke.net (or, for example, www.assembly.org) to see our BIIIG prizes, sponsored by such GREEAAAT and scenish companies like nvidia, nokia, hp or intel.

damn, i understand that demoparties are an expensive fun and finding some sponsors help to get such big event up, but i see no reason why the scene should kiss their asses this way.

what do you mean by "kissing their asses" ?
do you mean a banner?
or do you mean the "sponsors page" ?
(btw, most of the time the banner is the ojuice banner)

dont you think, after spending weeks on producing a decent demo or intro, its a good thing getting a price which is worth 1500euro or more ???

you dont know what it means to organize such stuff, just to give them away as prizes, you DONT FUCKING KNOW this, really.

i guess party organizer should pay all the costs by themself / demo-makers should not get prices at all, because this would be commercializing the scene???
do you want to pay 3* entrance price of nowadays parties, because sponsors suck ?

then, there would no longer be any party, trust me.

please rethink your statement and dont tell US to kiss some commercial asses.

thank you

sponsoring means giving money for ads and the permission to show their logo for example on the website, no problem (as i said!).

and for a cheap prizes i can adore some little banners.

but a "big native instruments software demonstration" as part of the party is a bit too much for me.
nevertheless it ain't kissing NIs ass, maybe too hard words...

well, i'm traveling from the US to compete in the console comp. I think that the sound demonstration would be cool. Its billed as a workshop. If you don't like it, then don't go. Go drink a beer. That's where you'll find me during the workshop.
