scene music stolen

category: music [glöplog]
its not about being forced.
ITS ABOUT PASTIS!!! AND DUBMOOD KNOWS ABOUT PASTIS!
Im not underground, hell in two days im playing on the aniversary of one of the biggest radios in southern france. je suis un plus un pute =) People buying chipmusic or dancing to it is not news, not for me, not for anyone exept maybe for Iblis. There has been live chipperformances since like, 98?

Its so easy for you to say reconsider etc, its not your music that was raped by this twat. I mean, the story aint over, look at this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42gcQ3s6dDU he ripped a goto80 song and put some horrible rap on it. ok, it sux, so what... hey wait... its for sale on the net: http://www.virb.com/kentuckyprophet/music/albums/6730

As I said, this is a story of a grown up man who is responsible for his actions and capable of calculating the effects of what he do. He deserve every little bit of shit that is ever gonna get him, and his personal life. Simple as that.
I'm not saying it's not so sad.
Now, go over it... but again it might be easy for me to say so... I must reckon I now wish I would like to be ripped :D
In the names of the gods - that History of the Butt shit is too too much. Dubmood is right, that guy deserves every little bit of shit...

Well, if you're into shit and butts :)
Well the guy is an obvious asshole...

Let's bel-air him and then avoid.
The fact he's going to be thrown up of every places he should have been "played live" and tha everyone will know the truth about how lame he's been is already - I think - a good reward for dubmood.
You are blinded by anger dubmood. kentucky prophet is not the same guy as laromlab, but it says quite clearly that he sometimes gets beats from him here:

Could it be that this guy was duped by laromlab aswell, and is an unwilling participant in this little quagmire?

seriously, come of it. It's a bunch of chiptunes, that apparently have a very devoted following among retards in kentucky, they even make new art of it, or try to pass it as their own. cant you feel the love?

So Iblis, if it was "real music" instead of chiptunes this would be all different?

youre twisting what im trying to get across. The guy is dumb enough to put it up for sale, so now obviously he must be rolling around in piles of cash right?
I would think it was great if KY Prophet would remix my "real music", i imagine that i would still be laughing.

The suggested reaction is completely out in the weeds when you look at the actual situation and not some imagined ethical concept at work.

Stop listening to those comercial sell outers and fill the redneck with lawsuits up his ass!!! I don't want to have to buy decente chiptune from some american label no one has ever heard of!

Why buy chipmusic from obscure American labels when we have something like HVSC? :)

Found this on irc.

laromlab [ làro'm:làb ]

verb (past laromlabed [ làro'm:làbéd ], past participle laromlabed [ làro'm:làbéd ], present participle laromlabing, 3rd person present singular laromlabs)
Definition:

1. to steal an artists complete image including music, webpage, fans & carrer and sell it on the internet.

Why is this board suddenly full of laromlab defenders? The guy is a real asshole, and he certainly didn't express any regrets about his ill-begotten fame until he got caught with his pants down. He is a scammer and a crook and should be dealt with accordingly.

Rippers, they are everywhere, once you hear stories about 10 rippers, you just find its always the same story.
Parents beating a guy to make him become an artist. Incest involved and here is the guy, ready to settle his throne as the prince of bel air.

And now, thank to the retardweb that proven him wrong, he must be feeling all alone...

I think he'll go suicide.

It's the end of laromlab.
you people sure have a lot of piled up repressed aggression...

Gargaj: word!

How about you let the people involved handle the issues?

Firstly, I must say I personally think that dubmood's music on a general basis kicks a thousand asses. It truly rocks, and it's absolutely savage that this situation has come about.

As far as the thief goes, how far does it go before the situation lies? He's publically admitted his faults and his absolutely shameful behaviour. This isn't like Timbaland who arrogantly shrugged off the situation publically and left it to lawyers; by all means this looks like a misguided geek with incredibly poor judgement. To talk of him "raping" music stirs up vilification the likes of which are reserved for anti-pedophile lynch mobs.

He just pulled an incredibly dumb stunt, and really, apart from maybe having a few teenage girls coo at him and having the glory of half a dozen or so people awkwardly dance at his gigs, I'm guess he hasn't made much money at all out of it, if any. Some people (not implying anyone here!) are still under the illusion that the music industry is profitable, when the majority of producers and DJ's I know generally have full time jobs to supplement their hobbies. Profit margins for indie labels are so slim, it's a wonder they even bother. This is only what I've seen in /my experience/.

Essentially, yeah, he's a lamer, but I think dubmood should decide on a way of dealing it as long as it ultimately leads to either leaving it to rest, or forgiveness, even if it means talking to the guy.

And I second all the other sentiments of others that imply that dubmood should switch this around to his advantage and try and work something out with the label, the authentic seal of awesome would benefit all involved.

Above all, I hope this doesn't sour dubmoods appetite for producing music. While I totally understand and respect his viewpoint, I think it should be dealt with and left, instead of a perpetual debate that spirals into uselessness.

LET HIM ALONE!!! HES ONLY HUMAN!!!!
i'd be sure to make the label sales and commercial downloads stop. and then like skrebbel suggests .. maybe offer some YMR music to this label.
