about the Wii ?

I can build a compass with a IR-led and put it in front of the camera! Genious! Not even the great Kermit the frog would have thought of that one!

Wow! The hack really works!!!
Too bad it takes so much time to start. Loading the game, waiting, selecting the save in the menu, and talking to the guy in front. Then an "elf loader wannabe" apears.

devkitPPC release 14 is final

The 14th release of the gamecube toolchain is now final and available for download. This version brings Wii support now that we have the ability to run code on Wii thanks to the efforts of Team Twiizers and their Twilight Hack.

Stop whining, start coding! Who's the first with a proper Wii demo? :)

I must try porting my gamecube spinning cube and add some tesselation to it to try it on the wii.

A week ago or something you needed a gamecube SD card adapter to load stuff on the wii. Now you don't.

And to make things easier...

May be fake. I don't know.

Coming from the guy who originally ran homebrew on the Wii for the first time, so no - it's not fake. Hopefully someday (soon) we don't even need that Zelda anymore to run homebrew on the console...

http://www.wiibrew.org/ has always the latest news and information on the topic.

I didn't notice that the video was submited by him when I posted. You still need zelda to install the loader ;)

Some cheap ass lamer said:

“A chipped Wii might sound cool but it is useless. The latest Wii extravaganza, seeing Mario back in a racer at the front of the pack, Mario Kart Wii, would be useless on a chipped Wii. You’ll never get the interaction or support when it all unravels. You’d have to be pretty stupid to think online gaming won’t be easily log-able in such digital days! Chip it and you brick it, as we say around the office. There is only one real Wii experience – and it doesn’t come chipped!”

That's not what I've heard about Mario Kart...

Just got the Homebrew Channel loaded on my Wii. No good software for it yet, but the channel looks and runs really well. And the Wii would be a interesting console to develop for. ;)

Looking forward to the first Wii demo!

Months of hard work have come to a point where the public can finally enjoy it. Enjoy! And stay tuned for the upcoming updates! (Automagically pushed to your wii through the interweb, ofcourse with a user-confirmation prior to installation.)
