Good Bye Nectarine

category: general [glöplog]
I just hope that hard disk data can be recovered and next time Nectarine is online data is mirrored to other servers.

Elfan: we just need to agree on the basic feature set at the moment.

If everyone is happy with demoscene.fm I will happily get the ball rolling by registering it for 2 years and point it to whatever DNS servers handle the temporary site.

demoscene.fm has been registered for 2 years.

Still waiting for payment to go through. Axel/Arab maybe you can provide me with some nameservers to point it at?

okay, the ball is rolling again. Yes is working on resurrecting it. We've built a new home for you gentlemen.

in related news, the harddisk is currently being checked, the mp3 archive is intact, and an .sql file with nectarine data from Nectarine.

Don't give hackers a chance. :)

Payment has gone through on demoscene.fm, showing a weak holding page at the moment. I can now direct it to some DNS servers.

If anyone wants to contact me about the details you can mail me at gmail, same nick.

There is something I don't understand : from what I understand, most people prefer the old version of Nectarine with the lighter layout, yet we're being asked (again) to give some money to recover a HD when there is a backup from August and after scamp proposed to host Nectarine for *free*.

Can't we just have the old non bloated version back, using a free reliable host with reliable hardware, without being asked for money again ?
