Any Demos using dubstep influenced music?

category: general [glöplog]

I was wondering if any one is using dubstep as accompanying music for their demos and if anyone has any suggestions as to demos I could watch like this?

Not yet.
But this music-genre is good as dead so I guess some demos with dubstep will be released soon.

*lol*

most of the Unique prods have similar beats
dubstep != dnb. I got a Planet Mu Collection (10 tons heavy, I think it was called) recently and by Jove it's bloody boring. Even more boring than DNB which is feat on itself.

@okkie: i know.

If you have the old Plasticman and Benga stuff you can stop buying/downloading.
Oh, Burial & Boxcutter can be added to that list too.

Dubstep (/grime) was innovating 5 or 6 years ago. Now it's repeating itself.
Same goes for DnB; I stopped buying it since 1996. Stuff released now sounds exactly the same.
Only difference is that they dumped the Akai S1000 sampler and use Reason now.

Getting a bit off-topic but I just needed to vent =)

what it says about about 2-step garage:

Quote:

God, this stuff is so fucking boring. Retaining the idiotic basslines of Speed Garage, the hiccuping stacato beats of the Nu Soul schlock that dares call itself RnB, and even worse the endless crooning by 'guest' popstars (hence all the 'featuring' accolades in playlists), divas, and whining narcissists who like to think of themselves as just too damn cool to be listened to by you. They're all style-biting Mariah Carey, so it's pretty much her fault. The only good thing about 2-step is, unlike Speed Garage, it won't be used by invading alien armadas to their high councils as grounds for turning the Earth into a gigantic ashtray.

Yes it's generally a boring and derivative genre (especially some of the crap on the well known labels where the genre was born) but there's some good stuff out there for the finding. Additionally, 2-step garage != dubstep.

I think one of the Sqny demos has a dubstep soundtrack although I can't remember which one and demoscene.tv doesn't seem to want to function properly at work. The soundtrack from Bombman is one of my favourites of all time.

okkie, who is on that compilation? Boxcutter and Ital Tek are some good ones on Planet Mu.
Boxcutter's great! Planet Mu's been steadily getting less reliable as a source of good stuff over the past few years. Burial's a bit dull, but I can appreciate the appeal.
