Dwarf Fortress - really the ultimate game for coders

Crystalis on the NES -seemed- real nice.

Shadow of the Collossus was really freaking epic, as was Rez. And yeah, the Monkey Island games and Grim Fandango.

TES IV: Oblivion
Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn+ Throne of Bhaal (PC)
Fallout 1&2 (PC)
Secret of Mana (SNES)

Guybrush: Crystalis was one of my fav games on the NES. Never was able to beat it though, the bosses in the end get pretty sick.
I tried Dwarf Fortress, but it's hard to get into, although I've played my fair-share of roguelikes.

Nezbie: Try Df again, and use the wiki! It took me 3 seperate attempts to get into it, but now I have no life and am running a succession game with my coworkers: http://apparentlythisispossible.com/things/Glassmakers.pdf Here's my hand-off doc from year 4.
Oh, and find out how to increase the number of tiles displayed on screen RIGHT FUCKING NOW. It's NOT playable at 80x25.

Crystalis was made much easier by the copious hints in Nintendo Power and my sweet-ass NES advantage joystick (with -adjustable- autofire). I got a USB-converted one for nostalgia's sake ^_^
But that maze in that FUCKING mountain made me want to murder somebody. I mapped it out.
Ooh ooh I met the guy who came up with the (patented) way to compress data on the GBC for crystalis! He's some high-up at Digipen. I told him (in front of some 14 year old kid and his mom) that it was was "One of the best fucking games I've ever played."

I am really liking Everyday Shooter; I really like Darwinia and Multiwinia; and FINALLY the Mother 3 translations are done so I can play Mother 3! (Apparently it also is translated to .de, .fr, .pt, .pt-br, .es, .es-mx, and .it ... but Mother 2 (Earthbound) was/is brilliant and I cannot really wait to play Mother 3. Have to, tho. Other shit to do (:

And I absolutely can not get over how incredibly fun World of Goo is.
Calexico: what kind of weird version of Super Mario Bros is that?

Katamari Damacy / We <3 Katamari / Beautiful Katamari / Me & My Katamari are all fucking awesome!

Well, the psp and 360 versions maybe not so much, but they are still good fun!

this is a real goodie for PSX that I missed back when it was released (1997)

it's a great arcade style jump'n'run from Namco. nice work on the details, those guys know their business!
