The same can not be said about A500-demos working on every amiga-setup or emulator

That is true. "Everyone" can manage to run a D64 file in WinVice.
But some people (*Cough*solskogen organizers*cough*) find it hard to use UAE.

Btw, we need to mention Ephidrena,Nature,Traktor and Tulou.

That makes quite a bunch for a dead scene and I hope to see a lot of you again on easter with many stuff to release.
BTW: we will celebrate our 10th anniversary next year \o/

wtf ? Amiga scene != amiga 500 scene.
I don't claim Pc scene is dead because there is no more 286 CGA demos.
There are always quite a lot of amiga users, but they have os4/morphos/or uae RTG. Noone of those care about ECS stuffs.

+ "major release" is an average demo compared to what has been done in the past. Looks like a collection of example sources everyone know.
Application of some modern algorithms on a500 could really give interesting effects, but no one care atm.

And I don't give a shit about OS4/MOS/UAE. So what?

If you make a hard work to make a really innovative a500 demo, which is possible of course, almost no one wil be able to understand * how * these effects are a hard/intelligent work, and actually almost no one will understand the point of that except that it could work on a "old computer" or "emulator". Make a fast 3D engine on a 500 using an innovative blitter technique, no one will notice or understand it. Do an easy shamefull colorcycling trick, it will be received better.
+ most of the amiga demo viewers of today are not amiga users, they are PC users watching videos, having a blurred idea of what is an amiga (=old computer), and unable to make the difference with an a500, or a A4000+68060. It's the same thing for most people. ( these PC users usually have not a clue about the amiga hardware and system specs, and why there are so much amiga fans, for them, we are just freaky funny idiots that yell amiga at parties, by pure nostalgia. ).
The amiga 500 demo time is done, and it has been done better than anything, when it was the moment. There are thousands of demos out there from the 85-94 period to rediscover.

And as there were no Atari releases during that time, its only a matter of logic that people do stuff on Ataris.

i just had a demo in 70%-state ( a1200 tho ) ... my harddisk died and i lost all my projects/musix/logos/etc/etc... so i wont restart again...amiga is dead for me now :( ( codingwise that is )
and before you start flaming: i had it all twice on 2 harddisks, but my sister bugged me to get one of these, so i gave it to her and in that span of 2 weex ( before i had money to burn my stuff to DVDs ) the other HD died ( first HD that ever died completely in my whole life, what an incident :/ ) ...i wanted to upload the stuff temporarily to untergrund, but then again: "just wait for money, burn it then, dont overload untergrund..."-thinkings...blah !

not to mention the 3 4ks in a far state plus several (un-)finished soundtracks plus NEW samples for 4klang i wanted to share with everyone...also our 15years-birthday-demo is gone...

these are times when someone wants to leave scene completely, but as im too much in love with scene anyway, you wont get rid of me that easily...whoever is responsible for this, do it another 100 times and ill still stand up and demo again every fukkin time ! bastard !
Depth are obviously sort of active... Go look under "prods" ASAP :-)
