In firefox it finally looks decent. So keep it like it is :)
Yes. keep it.

just use opera, so that you can press ctrl-f11 and choose whether you want the full image size or not. kudos to gargaj for not removing this support, btw (if i'm on non-ctrl-f11-mode, i get the full image size)

All hail Gargaj for making it harder for trolls to ruin threads.

I'm fine with it like it is NOW. No more monstrous images. Well done.

i'm all in favor of preventing trolls from ruining threads
however consider a screenshot of how it affects browsing pouet from a mac / safari - no user stylesheet

i'll dig the bbs to find out what p01 told to insert in a user stylesheet, it would be be nice if it could be done properly on the server side though
It looked like that for months in firefox :)
thx.

guardian: the same page looks nice and tidy for me, with the image resized. Are you on safari 3.2.1?

I also support the "keep resized images" side btw, nothing worse than massive images and horizontal scrolling :)

psonice> Version 3.2.1 (5525.27.1)
Everyone else has said what I was going to say, stupidly supersized images, "DO NOT WANT!"

IE7 has some weird bug that shrinks the pictures to arse, and only resizes them decently once you pressed refresh

about the Safari bug: it works in Chrome (which is also webkit), so if you two can find out why it differs, that'd be great.

I don't know what else it could be.. I've not touched the user style sheets at all, and I don't see any settings relating to image size. I have safari block installed to remove adverts, but i think that just removes images and doesn't interfere with the ones that are left.

I'm on 10.5.6, intel, can't see that affecting rendering layout though.

bleh i emptied the cache and now it's back to normal, go figure...
thx for caring
Do not change it please, it has been very annoying these months when browsing those threads with posts of people which have serious problems the size of their ... images. It's a pity they don't know how to use the resize feature of their photo editor. And since making customizable behaviors for the css might be lots of work (I have no clue really), my vote goes fot the the current conservative "fix to max 800x600" behavior, which is not the best but at least prevents crap and is more than ok for me (c'mon, he don't need HD-lolcats).
