Brokepoint - Breakpoint 2009 is in danger and needs YOUR support

category: general [glöplog]
Couldn't Willbe just do a Demovibes liveset? I'd love to see that :). He's done it before on VIP 2008 but I missed it that time.

Tiago's idea is actually quite good, think about it there're many amazing musicians amongst us, I am sure at least a few of them would love to let us chill by playing a few good tunes of theirs.

It's some equipment rent (you don't want to know how expensive that drum kit we got for Bendik was :) but first of all flights+accomodation+food. Think eg. of PPOT - that's six people from .dk plus instruments in the most expensive hotel because the others are already completely booked out by party guests. :)

Forget about bands that want money/flights/accommodation. Last time i checked, the scene is full of talented musicians, and i'd be surprised if noone is willing to play a gig for free (or for the price of free entrance). It doesn't have to be a "real" band with guitar, bass, drums and a singer either, a man with nerdy glasses and a laptop can kick ass too.

liveacts sure got cocky then. what about a bowl with solely blue M&Ms and Dr Pepper cooled at exactly -9 degrees celsius? oh and a goatse-picture on the dressingroom!
kb: good job getting half the scene thinking the hotel rooms are booked out because your post was too hard to read :D

Ok, let me take this chance to clarify: Hotel reservation for BP09 will start in mid-February, do NOT try to book directly with the hotels as they won't accept your reservation and you are wasting their and your time, and don't worry, and please don't nag, just wait, thanks :)

I'm not a active scener nor i won't attend to the party. But since i always enjoyed the party live-stream and ofcourse the released products i spend a bit of my money which is nothing compared to the joy i'll get back every year. Keep the good work going on!

kusma:
You do realize you just confirmed the personal-pr campaign motive.

okkie:
i have been organizing a few smaller demoparties myself and we have never been able to give away anything for free and the budgets where never huge or fancy. i wonder what background you have in this to be able to say that small parties have no problem sponsoring bigger parties. or rather. investing pr in cheap shots.

but ok, i throw in something more

Everyone who buys a supporter ticket for breakpoint gets in for free at Skogome Poetry slam 2009!

It's official: If you buy a Breakpoint supporter Ticket (€250+) you will NOT get a FREE entry to D///FEST 2009 in Barcelona, Spain. Nothing personal, it's just that don't think it will happen this year either.

yay - free solskogen entry for me \o/
leijaa: I would have spent them on some worthless junk anyway ;) So better to spend them on supporting breakpoint instead

Peh, I could've done that too. But some of us have massive student loan payments ;D.

I wish you get to your target. Unfortunately I personally won't be at BP, as I'll probably have a medical operation around that time. But I'll be home and hopefully watching !

Just because Swedes pay high taxes doesn't mean we should have free care in Hungary. Or any other country.

I actually don't understand what you are trying to say here, so I'll just let you rant on. :)

Anyho - despite troll-attempts: the offer does of course still stand, and Solskogen will of course not go broke because of it. I do know what I'm doing. ;)

fuck that whole band fad. since when did 'some dj sets at demoparties' grow out to hiring bands? what the FUCK!?

get the fuck lost. just put some willing ppl down for entertainment if they wanna.

If the progress bar keeps moving at that rate, it will overflow in a few weeks and start at zero again, i guess.

BTW: This whole thing gives the term "Breakpoint 64k Compo" a new meaning
