Demos/intros using software rendering?

category: general [glöplog]

Could you guys give me names of some demos or intros using sw-rendering? I'm a fan of sw, but its hard to find prods that specifically use sw. It would be nice if there was more tags on the prods here on pouet so that finding would be easier. Or at least textual search. Google didn't do any good.

By sw I don't mean sw 3d engines that can be compared to accelerated ones, but demos as a whole. Something like the byterapers stuff on pc.

I'm especially interested in demos made recently. If there are any that is. And of course the old good ones :)

  • exceed stuff (heaven7, spot)
  • liveevil
  • nonstop ibiza experience
  • kkowboy, moralhardcandy
  • lunix demos (+ the coop with mfx)
  • various hjb intros (+remixes)
  • mankind demos+intros
  • Enlight the Surreal
  • recycled by dsd + byterapers
  • square win32 port
  • the day the earth was born

ugh, okay maybe I formulated my thoughts wrong.

What I meant was that I'd rather see demos that are not just 3d scene players (Like Moppi's Hannu & Kerttu)... well it came up wrong.

The question is: where are the modern software rendering demos?

The list above is pretty much as "modern" as it gets when it comes to sw rendering. Besides F.A.N.'s raytracing demos of course.

Thanks for the list, Tomaes! I'll check 'em out. Many of them I've already seen, but there seems to be some new ones too!

Am I only one nowadays who thinks sw rendering is sexy or why people don't do it anymore?-)
