Where are ticket sales?
added on the 2009-03-16 21:30:55 by mg mg
At the door. We don't sell tickets in advance - unless of course you opt for an expensive but very helpful supporter ticket :)

Since the budget progress bar is gone. Does that mean you made it? All/most normal features are gonna happen afterall?

For thoose who didnt get an hotel. I just booked at the NH Rheinhotel Bingen. 72 Euro for a double room aint that bad. (You get 20% discount from the normal price when you order by web)
However, we are only staying there one night (Thursday-Friday)
Others arriving on Thursday? Go to forum.darklite.org and lets hook up for a preparty on thursday.

I just booked at the Rheinhotel too, Fri-Sun. It's more than what I wanted to pay. I'll take the sleeping bag anyhow.

I don't remember seeing an "earplug" item on the bar! Were they covered by the donations or do we have to bring our own? :D

We've just added another hotel - Hotel Römerhof is back with a few rooms. Nice hotel, nice pricing.

And in case those rooms also should run out, we already got a deal with another hotel which me might add if needed (it is outside of Bingen, though).

When we started organizing Breakpoint 2009, we didn't have a budget at all. Thanks to the help of sceners, things look pretty OK now. We know it's late, but we really would love to have some live music action on stage. We are therefore looking for a live band to play at Breakpoint 2009. Requirements are:

- Ideally should have some relation to the scene (playing scene music, or playing oldschool instruments)
- Needs to have some form of live performance that works on stage. Remember we got a kick-ass big stage, and a big audience. Sorry, dj sets and any form of mp3-player-kind of acts aren't suited for that.
- We are primarily looking for music that can be danced too. Chiptunes, Electro, House, Rock etc will be ok, stuff that only minorities like (Minimal, Metal, Hardcore) doesn't cut it
- We still have a tight budget. We can offer free food and drinks, and possibly help out on instruments or travel costs, but we can't pay. We only need bands that wish to play because it will be great fun to play in front of an audience of 1000 nerds.

As we have a kick-ass video team we also can offer the band high-quality footage of the gig, which may be used for promotion purposes.

If you are playing in a band and would like to have a gig at the best demoparty in the world, please contact the organizing team at breakpoint09@untergrund.net now! If you are in contact with a band and know they are interested and are willing to play essentially for free on easter weekend, please let us know. However, please do NOT mail us "you got try band xy" kind of hints, sorry, we don't have the resources for that.

Thank you very much for your help!

It looks like we'll set a new record on booked hotel beds this year - again all hotel rooms have run out. We therefore now have made a special deal with another hotel, which adds another 40 beds.

Hotel Trollmühle is located outside of Bingen in the small village "Münster-Sarmsheim", which is pretty near to the Breakpoint location. This is a really beautiful 3-star level hotel in a silent area, featuring a very good restaurant. Again, keep in mind that this is not inside the Bingen city, unlike all the other hotels. This hotel however too is connected by the free Breakpoint shuttle bus, so getting from and to the Breakpoint location is easy (however only every second Breakpoint bus will stop there, which means there will be service once per hour).

You may book this hotel at our hotel reservation system:

"Hotel Trollmühle" sounds like the place to be for Heise-Forum posters!
