is there a source for High-def demoscene art as a a nice poster/painting in my room?
Most demoscene art isn't high-resolution (unless you count taking screenshots of actual demos running in 1080p, but my guess is you're talking about still images), but if you want that "authentic, retro look", you can always scale up some good stuff from GFXZone (just make sure you turn off interpolation and scale in power-of-twos).
