PILGRIMAGE 2004: party ticket prices announced!

category: general [glöplog]
True, Holiday Inn is one of the most affordable hotels you can get that don't include the free cockarroachez!

Noone has to stay in the freakin' hotel! The only cost you must incur is the ticket price.

Of course if you are coming in from out of town, staying in the hotel helps reduce the costs of the party which helps the party this year and going forward in future years.

Stay at the freakin' homeless shelter for all I care.

you can expect an NES demo from 8bitpeoples at pilgrimage this year.

$20 or $30 says to me that the location is too expensive or the price money is too high :-)
which only shows that you never heard about the prices and prizes at breakpoint... 20-30 is quite ok.

keep in mind that some parties last about 3-4 days, so you can't really compare the prices.

Prices just are.

$33 - Birdie 14 2004 (250 KER)

And yes, it should be noted that Pilgrimage 2004 is a 2 day event. I believe The Gathering and Assembly are the longest running events this year. Perhaps someone else can do a price per day analysis. ;) In any case, the point has been made.

The point is: There's no such thing as bad publicity! Now everyone has heard of Pilgrimage.
The more people argue about stupid little things, on both sides, the more hatred this stirs up in people, then their people jump in and it grows and grows. If you have a problem, show up, make a difference, if disuaded at the door, protest, hold your own, stir some shit up. Either way, just stfu and do something.

I know several people I would love to meet and hang out with, who abstain because of petty shite like this thread, and that annoys me. I could find fault in their decisions, but it is theres to make. I'll go either way, hotel, empty field, section housing complex, or warzone, I'll have fun with it somehow. Either chatting over beers, shooting some people, or feeding the homeless. I don't care.

wow this is dumb.

And in my haste to put forward my thoughts, I missed words and used incorrect context. Oh well.

The Gathering :D

Anyway, another neat addition to the OMGWTF$$$ list:

X2004, a measly €65!

Yet somehow, I doubt I'll get burned (like atTG or TP) by giving these guys my money...

It should be really simple to get people to come to Utah for a demoparty, just get mr.Maddox on stage (shouldnt be to hard, he has his roots from "demoscene" IRC channels) -could be great fun ;-)
