Why should the amount of heart, blood, sweat and time spent by Scamp organizing Breakpoint have anything at all to do with the Scene.org Awards, seeing as the awards were organized by and paid for by Scene.org, not Breakpoint?

It has exact nothing to do with it - i just said that i UNDERSTAND when ppl "like" scamp (which means -> like -> which means "for example") are disappointed.

The point bringing BP in with your:

BP was a stage and a crowd -- and that's the level of BP involvement in the awards.

is 1. not mentioned, meant or intended to be meant 2. poor

BP is over, so what has is to do with it?

And why ASM is better than TG?
1.Its because at ASM is the amount of sceners higher.
2.It has boozembly
3.TG is the twin of TP (yay and now start bashing)

Gloom, watch it. Waging war against Scamp is one thing (and a rather understandable one now and then) but you shouldn't start pissing off people who put a considerable amount of time and energy into the awards, even before the actual ceremony. Don't go there.

Duckers: Word..

I cant understand why drinking alcohol is SO damn important. .well it for sure is nice when you can have a beer when wathing the compos etc. but hell still works without it as it did back in the good old days. (atleast here in sweden alcohol WAS forbidden at partys)

and at ASM and TG there are gamers that actually DOES creative stuff. isnt that a good thing?

the best thing is if scene.org is presented at different partys. but TG etc is good for this. good streaming possabilitys etc. and if you dont think so.. why not arrange a party yourself that can hold scene.org awards yourself?

kb_: that is not my intention at all. Not _at all_. I'm sorry if it didn't come through well enough, so I should make it perfectly clear: the awards has always had a good home at BP, and as said, the beam-team has been super-helpful, along with others in BP-staff as well. There should be no doubt about that, and did not mean it as a snub or insult. If it was precieved that way then I apologize for the unclear phrasing above.

My point was this: BP did not _arrange_ the awards. This was, and has always been, done by the awards staff, many of which are Scene.org staffers too, with help from the beam-team during the actual show. This points to what I was responding to in the thread:
Quote:
I totally understand that ppl like scamp who spend lots of heart, blood, sweat, time and many more feel disappointed and disagree with this solution.
..because this makes no sense to me, especially not with _docd's "clarification":

..it still makes no sense. I simply don't get the argument he's trying to make. Granted, bad grammar might be part of the reason for it.

I simply wanted to clarify what the organizational structure for the awards actually is. I cannot make this point hard enough: absolutely no snub towards the non-awards people in BP organizing who has helped us out.

i got the final solution,

1. allow beer at TG
2. shitloads of people show up (even the ones who doesnt drink beer).
3. lots of demo are being released
4. everyone is pleased

i'm not the one saying you can't have fun without alcohol but without the #1 this will NEVER happen and i'm sure you all agree with me :)

if we all were under 18 im pretty sure we could skip #1, but we ain't so lets just face the facts.
