Checked the website just this weekend, and thought it was over. But I guess it's traditional to start working on prods a couple of days before the deadline anyway.

Pouet suggestion: How about a "textmode" icon? That way you could find all text mode prods with the prod page filters.

Hmm...
well:
i promised to do sth better this year in that lastyears_prod-textfile and eventho we won the compo afterwards :
i cannot fullfil my promises ! i am getting into a job right now after 14 years of being unemployed !
also only sys left to me is win7 and so i cant go fullscreen anymore ( right now! ) ...
makes place for newcomers ! i think this years edition will have some bomb again anyway ;)
feel free to think about my/our comeback in next years edition ;) ( we´ll be back ! )

greetings,
hardy.
hardy:
oh come on! job is a lame excuse!

the_Ye-Ti:
We (and by we I mean I) sure been lazy on the web site. Everything is pretty late already so I figured changing a gif and adding 4 lines of html was enough :)

"working" and "getting into a job finally after 14 years" is different tho :p
i mean: its my only and maybe last chance to get onto my own feet in my life ( and even in my favoured job! ) !!!
so you can be sure i will be using as much time as possible to keep that job by improving skills on what i have to do for that !
( which will yield in an even better textmo next year then eventually ;) ,thats when I am "working" ! )

good luck hArDy!

And great that there will be some textmode going on \8D/
semi off-topic question, how do I deal with the code page/unicode stuff? I want to get ░▒▓█▄▀▌ ▐ , not ±²³ÛÜÝß.

Neither SetConsoleOutputCP(437) nor explicitly setting "->Char.UnicodeChar=2591" helps

Q: I'm running a non-English version of Windows, and textmode demos look weird. Any ideas?

A: Start a command prompt, go to the directory where you have installed the demo. Then, run "mode con: cp select=437", and then, while in the same command prompt, run the demo.
