Nice. And fuckings to too much music I can not possibly listen to in this life ;)

But seriously. And I spend a whole lot of time with music. I could listen to a new album every day if I had the time... I remember the days when I went to the record store and skipped through the shelves, picking unfamiliar bands, listening to their albums, taking my time. Or going to the sceond harnd store, searching for cheap classics I always wanted, keeping lists of them in my head. Man. I hardly do that anymore... I used to have evenings with my friends where everyone brought a new album and we would listen to them together while having a beer.
Now I order albums on Amazon and consume as hell. Some albums don't ever get the chance to grow on me, because I go "I've heard that before. Better."...
Too much consumption spoils you...

Well. Ranting on pouet ;)

If anybody want to listen to my non-free, but free-to-listen-to Mixtapes, go to my 8tracks page. And, yes. Most of it is pop-shit ;) But you will also find some stuff that was posted here. And if you're a hot girl, I'll maybe do a mix for you too ;)

<3 this thread btw.

Well, I haven't bought a proper (non-internet) record in a quite long time. Netlabels and indie artists take much of my portable player space/hard drive. Makes discussions with friends about new releases hard a bit, but oh well, they're the ones coming to me and asking "hey, have any new shit from those internet labels? this stuff blows" etc. So, everyone's happy :)

And after some personal health/pc/isp issues, I'm coming back to more regular updates here.

Wayfinder - Pristine - drone ambient

That's sad, I guess you're not the only one who missed the last sales of benbecula records before the final closure: http://benbecula.com/buy.shtml

I know I know, it's not about real records but sometimes (most of the time?) you gotta know about what is done aside the netscene :)
Huh, is this "Christmas Special - Final Sale Ever!!!" still actual? Or is it from yesteryear?

The lastlast one, everything shown on the page goes for 0.99.
I think it's not actually the best place to talk about it but considering it has great musicians like christ. or ochre, I guess it's good that people know about it. Then, benbecula will be definitely off and I guess it means they'll destruct the rest (which happen when labels have to close for money issues - debts - but dunno actually if it's benbecula case)
Definitely will buy something from here. Shame to pass such a deal, and some of the promo tracks are very promising.

Marțolea – Noaptea Dihãniilor - romanian black/folk metal

im more a sucker for frog pocket then ochre.
christ is a bit overhyped imho, but whatever rocks your boat. :)

frog pocket is just <3 <3 <3
too bad already have most of those cds and not really in the mood to bother harvesting them for later ebay business.
it also feels abit wrong somehow to buy off from a label once its already gone dead... but well, it's a business.

Yeah I like Christ. so what? I like to argue about the fact BoC made famous with a sou_nd they actually develop with guys like Christ. and now people believe Christ. is a BoC ripoff. I'm so elitist like that, you know me too well, I'm gonna cry in the corner.

By the way i heard you can find one "I've sketched it a while ago" on discogs, anybody wants to offer it to me for xmas?
maybe if people wouldnt keep comparing his sound to boc he wouldnt be so hyped :) who cares if he used to be in boc in the early begining? it's diferent projects. boc's eps go places (their albums actually dont imho) christ doesnt altogether (from the little i heard atleast; maybe he has some hidden gem)

but this is all subjective taste in music anyways :D nothing like listening for yourself and figuring out what you prefer. then do repeat what you did liked and dont what you didnt.

CHRISTAAAAAAAAAAMAAAASSS!

More seriously, I'm interested into this. I like the good idea of releasing the xmas compilation BEFORE xmas because it's leading nowhere to release it the 25th at 4am like if it was a real present. On the paper it's certainly better but seriously, nobody check websites on the 25th.

Btw, it's still valid as a present if nobody saw it at the right time?
Christmas 2009 p&j compilation

We actually really released it at 4am, I managed to finish my tune at 2am after me and girlfriend celebrated christmas with her family. My friend joined us at 2h30am and at 4am, it was uploaded on archive.org and our ftp.

Just for the record, this compilation was one of the most disappointing experience I had with "the netlabel scene".
It was kind of "last minute" organisation... understand: I asked a month before christmas for a tune... and it seems it's not enough for most musicians. Hopefully, we had few BUT motivated guys.
Then, most drawers my friend contacted had "something better to do". Of course, just to make it happen, I had to accept "unreleased" tracks and not "tracks made for christmas" and then, a week after, I received an email from a musician from aerotone who didn't understand why he had his tune taken from an aerotone release, his title changed and his musician name replaced by an other one...

No need to say christmas got ruined.
Well, that's bit shitty indeed :/

Still, the compilation is very good, so I think the main objective was completed :)

...And The Earth Swarmed With Them - The Fading Voice Of The Old Era Speaks To Us, But Where Are The Ears Left To Hear It? - post-rock. Gotta love the name, which reminds me some of those stupider deathcore bands.

also, The Best Creative Commons Music Moments 2010, as presented by Phlow. 107 tracks.

"And The Earth Swarmed With Them" feels like pozvakowski without noise.

The Crayons - indie pop. The first album is kinda lo-fi, and the second one is richer in sound.

Thanks pista for hint about Pozvakowski - listened to some songs on YT and I'm delighted. Gotta hunt some cds :)
