I would want to see and hear real demoscene musicians. Not some pretend chip-band. I dislike them perhaps more than people calling chiptunes keygenmusic. :P

They have actually played at a demoparty once, mainframe if im not totally wrong.

And to be fair, both front 242 and Welle Erdball are ALLOT more famous and have played at demoparties.

As a Belgian, I must vote for F242 yet from experience I have to warn you that you do not want to see your heroes when they are old, they can only dissapoint you.

I second velo, there is so many good artists with demoscene roots that has the right spirit, the right hardware etc, not only in the live chipmuisic/8bit scene that would be so much better, more fit and bring more atmosphere. Why not give the uprough ppl (goto80, yoki, dipswitch etc etc) a thought. And what about welle erdball, Jahtari, drax, jeroen tel, stu (& all the YMrockerz) sodamnloud the list goes on.

Stu was beyond awesome and into the realms of godlike at Outline although one never goes wrong with Welle Erdball if they havent died or degenerated into the world of crappy singalong tunes :)

We'll have Welle:Erdball vs. The Prodigy live on stage during a cooking show hosted by members of Gnumpf Posse!

UP ROUGH Session ala the 10year Anniversary gig in Gøteborg.

Is there any live recording of the concert?
The one I find at youtube sucks.

Pingpong or Djbattle between: uprough, gnumpf posse, dj ronny, Cheesy and additional some actions by kb would be fine too ;D at least for me.

Then the organizers have not to spend money for live acts... maybe we could have free beer or nice deco stuff instead.

how about having some random unprepared drunk sceners with more or less questionable musical skills play equally random unrecognizable tunes from allegedly famous demos, and call it... ehrmmm... BASS maybe? i'm sure it would be a hit!

velo +1
Willbe and moonove for a demovibe session?
Lackluster/distance?
oh, and if my suggestion will be followed, please don't forget to distort output to the PA to such an extent that only an earthquake-like rumbling and sirenish yelling remains

I vote for someone forming a new band called "The Nonstop Puryx Guitar Experience" doing all the tracks that Puryx have ever made but with LOTS of guitar! :)

well, of course the demoscene offers a large number of fantastic musicians but when it comes to awesome life-performers (other than just DJing) the list isnt that huge anymore. also a commercial act is good for outreach because they have a lot of non-demoscene fans. of course it would have to fit in and not be too big (because it gets very expensive then) but there are a lot of possibilities as past events like breakpoint showed. i think the mix of one evening DJing, one pure demoscene live act and a commercial one is great (taking the event lasts 4 days). if youre still looking for a dj i think i heard teis saying something about wanting to do a set, btw (*hint, hint*).
well maybe its all planned out entirly different already anyways, so these are just my thoughts.
and no, i dont think slagsmalsklubben is a "pretend chip-band". the chipmusic scene is more than just the demoscene and has a lot of space for commercial artists as well (not saying i like them all, though). of course theres also a number of demosceners doing commercial gigs, but i guess many of their fans again are already pretty familiar with the scene.

on a completely different topic: is there an internal irc-server planned like there was at breakpoint? not that i personally would need one since i have a server i can ssh to, but im pretty sure it would help to fill up the #revision channel during the party. i always found it awesome to have a mix of partypeople and stay-at-homes in the channel, especially when they get all crazy during the compos :)

i'd like to see cheesy do a meat spin at any german party!
also as mentioned in another thread http://www.youtube.com/user/petedebono#p/u/12/ZeKDaYpLlt0

deadmau5 doing a demo scene music set with loads of chicks and that light show in the yt would be enough out reach for one year ...
