ILLITERPIRACY!!!!11
'4kuma4' wins first price for pulling things out of context. Why not just spell it as Akuma to begin with? Really.

Anyway, I never had an argument but as ever Dubbie, just stop projecting everything on yourself and ask endlessly for explanation. Would help a lot, I thought or at least hoped that you would've grown up a bit since those rants 6-7 years ago. I know I did. It's funny how you still trip up over all that shit whilst I clearly don't give a shit, nor haven given a strong opinion about anything at all except your behaviour in this thread.

Except of course that Roy[SAC] is a dick. But that was clear from that cloudy picture thingy on the first page :) I'd rather goy for the trance DJ look then, even though that was a good 5 years ago as well.

The point is: You, dear cracking scene, are a bunch of fucking hypocrites. You have no problem with cracking and distributing others' software, music, movies, etc. But when suddenly it's YOU who has been ripped off by someone, you start crying for mommy. And stop whining about "but he did it for money". Because how many Euros are we talking about, actually, that Roy "stole" from Alien? .....BLABLABLA.... And if you do it anyway, it's "ok", do it - but then getting totally worked up about one measly logo is so fucking stupid that it's almost funny again. No wait, it IS. :)

are ppl who do stuff for relase groups automatically IN THE CRACKING SCENE? maybe kb pulled things a little bit out of context...?!

hahaha, that topic start again like a Formula One race :D

psonice: whut? warezgroups remove game-credits and say they did the game? uh? whaaa? really? oh fuck I didnt know, thats horrible!

I lol'd :D

btw, psonice you argument is false, especially in the screenshot you displayed, it was a dummy text written by Hetero in this intro, that (very old) game wasn't cracked, i just random text for a non-crack intro, just an intro.

Also, as I can remember (even on Amiga), all warez group give full credits to the original authors of the cracked game, I never heard of a group releasing a game and claiming they are the authors...

There are some valid points left and right, as per usual, let's keep it at that. I've worked in the entertainment industry as well (and not on stuff all that minor, before Dubmood gets off his rocker again) and I realize that the crack/warez scene as it stands now isn't really a threat to, at least, console sales. But the point still stands: if you steal stuff, or even supply a logo for a bunch of people that do so, don't go crying to mommy if someone rips your relatively minor effort off once in a while. That is all I have to say about it.

4kum4: thats awesome pouet-logic for ya

if u pixel for "thieves" and a random guy who has nothing to do with the warezscene (or SAC was an evil game/movie/ releasing art crackgroup ) u suddenly are the warezscene and should stfu. Basically, since im using pouet-logic here, im allowed to steal anything kb ever made, because im pretty 101% sure that in his entire live he must have copied a vynil on tape, an mp3 or downloaded a movie containing german sausages shoved up any human orfices, which makes him a thief too.

so its all alright!!

And since the development of even a simple triple A title goes 10 million and upwards budgetwise and not seldomly five or tenfold that, it's safe to say that pixelling a logo is a relatively minor effort.

superplek: u really have no idea how hard it is to please razormembers. that logo costed me 10k easily. and im bald now.

@rez: I even remember cracktors encouraging people to buy the actual product :) Not sure hooow seriously to take that, but it's a start.

you will notice I never complained about that :D

the only one who complained at first was Alien, not me or dubmood ;)

btw my (and kenet) music "Unreeeal Superhero 3" was ripped thousand times on various websites (like that horrible keygenmusic russian site) and in thousand youtube videos, well, that's life :)

rez: yeah, i know :) I'm sure I remember some games where the credits were replaced actually, but we're talking the olden olden days when people put stuff on the title screen to show they cracked it.

But anyway, the point was simply that the warez groups present stuff as their own releases. They're not, they're other people's released work, just repackaged. It's stolen stuff they're proud to present to you. I'm not saying it's as bad as stealing from somebody's house (although the result is occasionally the same, people do lose money and sometimes their jobs). I used cracked stuff now and then too, so I'll join in the hypocrisy. :)

Roy did the same thing, taking somebody else's work and re-releasing it with some modifications. But he added to the insult by removing your credits and trying to make money from it, making it even lamer. Actually, no, what he did wasn't any lamer at all. Just look at it, it's already at rock bottom :D

Here we go with the assumptions again Rez :) I never told you that you did, now did I? If anything you're an addition to Razor and the scene as a whole. Keep it up.

Can we just close this whole thing by concluding that this Roy guy is a dick and not worth our time? ;)

I still haven't seen any revenue from my "unique" artwork yet. $)

I've used cracked software and then bought it before now. If companies charge more than spare change and don't provide a demo version, what else can you do?

Another thing I've often thought: how many people used a cracked 3d tool / photoshop / music tool / whatever, and learned to make good stuff with it. Then went on to get a job, and continued using it, but now fully licensed? Probably a lot in the demoscene :) This is one of the good things about the warez scene I reckon.

maybe some ppl should write down their "opinion about the warezscene" somewhere else...regarding the topic it really doesnt fit in here...

Yeah well I download series and games, the latter less much, as well. If I like, I buy. Then again for some titles I just know beforehand and put the console title in my shopping basket rightaway :)

Sorry Akuma, I'm not into goths nor men! It's funny that whenever two or more people give support to what I'd call a "voice of reason", automatically the "homo-erotic accusations" get some screentime. Really, how old are you?, grow the fuck up.

Though I must say I do fancy long black hair. It's a good thing my girlfriend has that as well.

your "voice of reason" is in reality the "sound of asslick".

Well, if you can't get past that level of debate, I guess it'd be wise to stop right now Come back when you've got chesthair.
