some more news just in:

we can confirm that there will DEFINITELY be a bouncy castle staffed entirely by midgets, and also live performances from the crankies and fergal sharkey, as well as folk dancing and a "guess the weight of the cake" competition.

I can confirm that the folk music will be provided by Beardy Brucie and his merry Cider men. Make sure you have been practicing your line-dancing skills!

Hey, the midget-castle was supposed to be a surprise. You were told to announce the geese-juggling alcoholic who works part-time as a crotchless-panties salesman in Uruguay!

Fortunately we've decided to take charge of this outrageous situation. With the help of some British friends, a ruthlessly efficient German organiser task force, a beer drinking Belgian and a Swedish radio star, we're in the middle of preparing a new party which will be so new and shiny you simply have to love it.

Count on it =)

Well, I suppose I better make the effort and attend since it's not that far away from me!
BTW - anyone coming to the party.. I have an Amiga Motherboard, Keyboard converter and IDE cable left over from my old A1200 Ghetto tower machine.... I shall be bringing them to the party so will most likely be given away.........

Just a quick note: The Luton rail station car park (about 1-2 minutes walk from the party place) have just confirmed back to me that if you park after 6pm on Friday you'll be able to get parking at the following rates:

Friday 6pm - Midnight: £2
Saturday: £2
Sunday: £2

Not bad for railway parking! The shopping centre (Arndale) will be at full rate, so I heartily recommend the railway multistory car park - it's where I'm putting my car!

Anyone flying in from far away places: We've got offers of lifts from Stansted to save you the trip via London, please let me know (matthewatwalsterdotorg) if you want to join this.

Travel from other locations:

Heathrow: Get on the Piccadilly line, get off at "Kings Cross St Pancras". Make your way to "Thameslink" or "First Capital Connect" and get a ticket to Luton - should be approximately £8 depending on time of day. At Luton (NOT Luton Airport Parkway!) it's a 1-2 minute walk to the hotel.

Gatwick: Find your way to the station, there are trains roughly every 15 minutes or so to "Luton" or "Bedford" - get on one of these, you'll need a ticket before you get on. Prices are variable depending on the time of day, check nationalrail.co.uk for times/fares, but you're looking at £22.90 based on today's pricing. At Luton (NOT Luton Airport Parkway!) it's a 1-2 minute walk to the hotel.

Luton Airport: Either take a taxi to the "Best Western in Luton" (approx. 5 mins) or get the free transfer bus to the Luton Airport Parkway station. Buy a ticket to Luton, it's one stop, about 2-3 minutes travel, usually platforms 2 or 4. Should cost approx. £2.40

Exeter: I'm sorry, you've gone to completely the wrong airport for this party.

Finally, if you aren't planning on coming to the party, we're going to try our best at getting a high quality audio stream out, so watch this space for news!

And Eurostar trainboffins such as myself just follow the "Heathrow" part from "St Pancras" and beyond ;)

Eurostar? That sounds like it goes to that evil Europe place we're all supposed to be afraid of! =)

Franky: Yup, turn right when you get out of the doors and head to the First Capital Connect desks, platforms A+B.

I just called the hotel and they didn't know whether I can pay for the room with Scenepoints. Any clarification on this matter?
