anyone in Europe this July?..

category: offtopic [glöplog]
yo scenerz! i'm a computer programmer myself but i haven't been an active member here in terms of releasing stuff. though i've been following demoscene for over 6 years now so i have my own personal heroes and this summer i think i have a chance to meet them in person :)

my gf and i r going on a eurotrip so if anyone here would like to meet up, show around and make a couple of beers disappear, i'd be glad :) also i'm planning on visiting some european hackerspaces so we could pay them a visit together too

ok, currently the plan for the trip is:
July 13 & 14 - Warsaw
July 15 & 16 - Krakow
July 17, 18 & 19 - Budapest
July 20 & 21 - Vienna
July 22, 23 & 24 - Paris
July 25, 26 & 27 - Berlin
July 28, 29, 30 & 31 - Prague

the dates may be a subject to a slight change but in general that's the plan. write me up on skype ( know--1 ), or e-mail ( vladimir (dot) freelance (at) google mail ) or just answer here and we'll work it out

let raymarching and no ribbons be with u,
peace out.

PS if u have a spare room and r involved in couchsurfing (or wanna be), we'd not mind saving ourselves a couple of euros :)

Suggestion: compare those dates with the dates on http://www.demoparty.net/ and adjust your plans to fit.

norway is a boring country, all they have there is geysers, knäckebrod and high alcohol prices, so better not go there

Yeah, i have to agree there. Norway is indeed a boring country, I went there for a holiday a year or so back. Nice, we enjoyed it, but the food was boring, the booze was too expensive, and it's a lot like the UK but with less going on.

you better make a huge circle around the UK, you might never come back alive: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-11646559

I'm guessing that most of Europe will be there apart from some parts of Greece & Ireland who may be looking for alternative accommodation. ;-P

nah, England is not in schengen so i couldn't go there even if i wanted to get stabbed and then punched in the face by police... but that surely does sound like some rare fun :)

We'll make sure somebody leaves the key under the potted plant at the front door if we're all off for a drink, no worries.

Last time europe was actually empty in July was when michael jackson booked it for himself in 1987, and he's dead now so I'm sure there will be some people there.

Make sure you leave the cat out before you go - we don't want anymore nasty "incidents" in Belgium again!

RRROAR:
July 22, 23 & 24 - Paris
We may have some beverages, if only I am in Paris at these dates...
You both could even stay at my place, but it's an ideal solution. Reserve your sleeping stuff, with a possibility to cancel.
