Cool. I'm blasting Teetow's music so loud my neighbors can hear it. And I live in a house.

Over the next few days, I'll be converting all of the stuff we couldn't include on MC3 for various reasons and making it available; I'll post later with updates.

Err... I'm sorry, but what the fuck is up with the shipping thing?! I ordered my copy from Amazon on the 7th of December.
[quoter]Tracking Information:
Status: In transit
Ship Carrier: i-parcel
Latest Event: Carlstadt NJ
Arrival Scan - December 11, 2011 2:14:28 PM[/quote]

...and this:

Quote:
Date Time Location Event Details
December 11, 2011 02:14:28 PM Carlstadt NJ US Arrival Scan
December 11, 2011 02:14:28 PM --- Unable to forward shipment to different address
December 11, 2011 02:14:28 PM --- Tendered to local postal carrier for final delivery

I mean -- WTF? How can it be "Tendered to local postal carrier for final delivery" ... in New Jersey? I live in Norway ffs.

Amazon can't seem to understand it either -- their support just went "Err...." when I asked.

It looks like i-parcel is a third party carrier who handles some international orders for Amazon. They picked up the package in Carlstadt, NJ, where I'm guessing Amazon stopped tracking it. They have a tracking page at http://www.i-parcel.com/secure/track.aspx, but I don't know if the number from Amazon will work there. Sorry it's taking so long.. contact danwright(a)fusecon, com and he can send you a copy (still from the US).

Well, I'm still thinking it's gonna be worth the weight.

And after all, Trixter is basically a slimmer demoscene-video-producing Gabe Newell anyway.

phoenix: the tracking-number from i-parcel isn't accepted by the i-parcel website, no. I can wait, I mean it's not like it's body parts or anything, but after having ordered on december the 7th, I'm sort of keen on watching it soon :)

I'm most certainly gonna pick up a copy at Revision.

In the meantime I'll just feed the sub file into Microsoft Sam while the running the demos in the background :)

Finally got a reply from i-parcel:
Quote:
Thanks for contacting i-parcel as our customer service team takes great pride in being able to satisfy our customers. You have selected Expedited service for the delivery of your parcel and EXP parcels are not trackable.
So that explains the lack of data, even though it doesn't explain the lack of customer service :)

They go on..
Quote:
We can tell you that we received your parcel in our facility on 12/11/2011 and we entered it into the International First Class Postal Stream on .
Oops, missing variable data somewhere in their automated mailing system? :)

..and the last bit:
Quote:
Unfortunately, we cannot provide any further information to you as to the status of your parcel and suggest that if you do not receive your parcel within the transit time quoted on Amazons site that you contact Amazon Customer Service for further assistance.
Seeing that Amazon.com says the package "should be delivered on or before the 21st of December 2011", I have little faith in them knowing WTF is going on.

The magic word here is -CUSTOMS-

Packages get offered to your local national customs dept and remain in a warehouse untill you get to declare its contents. Even if the invoice is attached to the package in those plastic stick-bags the customs agent has no access to it and in many countries there is no invoice scanning with postal services - hence no data to use for customs calculation.

In .be you then, after 4 to 5 weeks, get a letter with a request for the invoice that once you provide will be processed - oh and charged a 10 euro handling fee.

For this reason I ship nothing with postal services but use FedEx or DHL. Additional cost is minor and delivery times are days instead of months.

Ofcourse, this wont help you now.

franky: since I live in Norway, no, that's not an issue. The only people I have heard complaining about "stuff stuck at customs" have been either from some eastern european country or the US. :) Also, I should add that I didn't choose the method of transport myself, it was chosen for me.

I have never had anything stuck in customs in denmark either - only thing ever stuck was when my father unwisely bought a ton of rare rolling stones LPs and asked the seller (private sale) to "pack it up so nobody can ever know whats inside". That turned out to be a mistake, since it only had my fathers address on it, and it looked VERY suspicious - as in a big box, hardcore wrapped with tape, but rather lightweight.

Everything else I have ever ordered from the US flies through customs, especially amazon-shiipped.

As Truck pointed it out:
Code:00:01:36:19 00:01:50:22 That moment were working on .kkrieger already. As the engine took longer than we thought, we took on some side projects. 00:01:50:28 00:01:57:07 The one with the old engine was The Popular Demo, and the other was kentra which already used the new engine.

"Kentra"? :D
How did that get through? :D

It's stuck at customs dude! I've had it happen at least 5 times last year when receiving packages from the US/Canada. (And I got to pay 142e 'income tax' on a bunch of 'free' t-shirts I got from Canda, yaay!)

Just spent about three hours last night digging into Mindcandy 3 - and wow! It's an absolutely gorgeous and fantastic production and an absolute must purchase in my opinion - everything about the production is pretty much perfect and I have no complaints - Trixter and co. have gone all out to make this a truly awesome collection. It was absolutely worth the wait.

After watching the production notes it's very clear that the work involved was a world away from simply capturing and encoding, the fixes and hacks needed to get a perfect capture (sometimes even beyond perfect - the FMOD hack for true 60hz was incredible!) were a testament to the almost obsessive tenacity of Trixter.

Massive props to all involved. Everyone else, you must buy this!
