Anti-cheat software engineers wanted

play ArmA 3 (when it's released) instead. what do you expect when you play a mindless shooter like BF, dominated by spotty-faced egotistical teenagers whose only reason for playing the game is to be top of the scoreboard. yuck

Why would people want to cheat anyway? They cheat themselves. Or is there money involved?

raer. I believe that most of the people who use AA like software do so for no other purpose than to troll the other players. This is trolling, not cheating as such.

A legendary troll (and probably the programmer of AA or similar) is "BOOMIJUSTSHOTYOU". That fucker and a couple of people he obviously knew singlehandedly destroyed Crysis 2 Multiplayer on the PC for 3 months after its release.

More despicable are the cheaters who use subtle cheats like a few extra buffs on guns and such. The worst of the afore mentioned scoreboard teens.

And to answer the question. Yes there is money involved. Quite big money I think. The best cheating clients you have to buy and some of them even have server side validation to prevent piracy(?!). Large forums and addresses in Dubai.

Sorry...too bad you cant edit posts. Point in case. During the boomijustshotyou quagmire with Crysis 2, i looked at the their cheat software forum. I cant remember it's name, perhaps it was AA, but they had a Ferrari (a real Ferrari car!) as a competition price for their members. So I imagine that business is good! (or they lie well to attract new members)

No. Is there any reason to?

Judging from the enormous fake muscles on his suit, yes! ;)

Cheating is like doping probably. Maybe they should just allow it completely e.g. in cycling. People are doped anyway. If people are stupid enough to take whatever shit and then die while cycling, so be it. One idiot less.
Honestly I don't give a fuck about either online-multiplayer and cycling anyway, but that's not what this is about, probably... ;)

That a bunch of people destroys a game for all the others sucks though, I can see that.

Well apart from being an amazing movie, there's this: "Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."

Why do people who play farmville are willing to pay real money for cheats, which basically means not having to play the game? =)
People are strange.

So, it's their nature to, uhm, cheat? ;)

No -- it's in their nature to not give a shit, and in gaming, that manifests itself as cheating.

raer: Let me rephrase then - it's not their aim to win. Their aim is to make the other lose. (Or just not have fun.)

Does working with Kalms still require being able to enjoy copious amounts of whiskey or is that a thing of the past?
